i dont think the jets care. i think they are just trying to avoid the embarassement of having blackouts. they want bodys in the seats, and there going to do whatever they can to fill them.

    Dumb.

My bigger concern is how the Jets themselves are devaluing the seats, clubs and PSL's. Some examples: parking colors: if green is only for clubs, keep it that way...now some get green parking (albeit for a higher fee) without being a club member...same with yellow for upper deckers. Selling tickets to outlets, a necessary evil but it does lower prices to some extent in a trickle down effect. As a PSL holder, I expect some benefits to holding the PSL that an upper decker doesn't get. Also, I'm not in the clubs, but I would expect them to have benefits that I don't get. It's basically pay to play and if people don't want to pony up for certain benefits, that's fine...but don't give away my benefits to those who don't pay, it only devalues my PSL.

I also think the Jets, now that they have had a few relocations in the UD should have a PSL on those seats too...small, but let those member get some skin in the game ($1500/primes and $1000 sidelines)...

But, overall, I"m fine with the whole PSL process.
Have you seen the price of upper deck tickets on stubhub? $30 gets you a seat in the first 5 rows for most of the home games. Only way I could ever see a PSL working up there is if the Jets do 3 things:

    1. Cut the face value on all tickets by 70%
    2. Eliminate preseason purchases
    3. Put a price lock on those prices for 5 years.

Then MAYBE they could put a PSL on the upper deck. I have buyers remorse for my seats. I could spend $450 for the season on stubhub for my $950 purchase.

Where you are maybe. LLEZ and Mezz B for instance had tons of folks give up.

My biggest pricing mystery is why charge a $2,500 PSL for last row Mezz B and leave row one between the 50s UD Prime on Jets side PSL free?

its really bad business in the long term.

imagine what happens when club holders find out that the Jets were giving out Green Parking passes for guys that bought the cheapest tickets in the stadium.

degrades the value of buying club seats. throw in the other issues and a bad season you get people giving up their seats.

I have green parking and don't own club seats. Certain sections on lower level were offered it this year.

I paid an extra $100 my buddy turned it down as he said in preseason games and when he comes last minute they usually waive him to green anyhow with the yellow pass so what is the point.

I parked green last year and it was no big deal. I only got it as yellow is the new orange and green is the new yellow

agree with your points but it dilutes the value of the green parking which was a perk for the expensive seats.

imagine some suite owner is relaxing and some guy driving a used ford escort comes into the green lot saying he got parking for free for buying 50 dollar upper deck tickets?

It is only a perk if green was same price as yellow for club holders or free.

Green parking is like thinking getting a cheeseburger instead of a burger is a perk and then spending an extra buck for the cheese.

you can basically buy a season ticket without a psl...and little fee of $5/ticket...no preseason commitment....orange parking is $35/game....so, 8 games x 2 tix = $80 in fees, plus another $80 in parking costs....$160 in additional costs for the year....say 15 years of this....$2400 in fees for two seats....less than face value of psl.

Plus you don't have to eat the 2 PS games every year.
