Jets top 3 draft picks remain unsigned.

    http://www.newyorkjets.com/team/roster.html

Milliner, Richardson & Geno all remain unsigned at present.

I haven't seen or heard it mentioned anywhere.

I know there is still time to get it done but it's a situation worth monitoring.

I think Idzik will wrap things up before training camp starts though.

I hope so. This is an important season for the Jets to start the rebuilding process and for Rex Ryan to prove he is worthy of getting an extension.

Shouldn't really be much of an issue considering the restraints on Rookie contracts in the new CBA.

How many 1sts, 2nds and 3rds have signed league wide?

Haven't heard much about any inking contracts.

Given that the contracts are slotted, I would think this situation requires almost no monitoring. There is no reason to play hardball or to hold out.

Idzik as shown that he takes his sweet time. It's a non-story.

remember, 2 of the 3 have just changed agents and probably need time to get acquainted

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'm at a 0 re: being worried about this.

All of the rookies in the NFL will be signed and ready to go by the end of July.

The beauty of the rookie wage scale.

23-24 of the 32 first round picks are currently unsigned

the point is they have NOTHING to hold teams up for or not sign for. There is a rookie salary scale which is part of the CBA. They are locked in on dollars and years based on when they were drafted.

So, no, there is NOTHING to be concerned about Milliner, Richardson and Smith not yet having signed on the dotted line

off-sets could be an issue. Also, some GMs like to wait until the last minute to give rookies their contracts due to fear the player might take that first paycheck and have a good time (get in trouble).

Can we add this via proxy to the SAR Idzik complaint list?

    Geno is the worry

His new agent may be barred from negotiating his contract. The NFL will make a ruling on eligibility and that will take some time.

If not allowed then Geno will need to fire his agent, wait a week and then hire someone new. Then a fresh negotiation with the Jets will begin.

All these delays could bring the timing down to the wire.

If I were betting, none of those things will take place, his new agency and his actual agent (who is certified) will be cleared of any questions and Mr Smith will sign on the dotted line well before the reporting date for the bus ride from Florham Park to Cortland

Please don't use that name in this thread...LOL.

I wasn't complaining and I don't think its a very big deal, it's just an observation.

At least it's something Jets related.

I think the offsets can become an issue. And since all of out guys were relatively high picks the offsets come into play. Teams like the protection, players want to double-dip.

Patriots signed second-round WR Aaron Dobson to a four-year contract.

New England's entire draft class is now signed. Dobson is a big, sure-handed receiver, and forty times of 4.42 and 4.44 at his Pro Day likely vaulted him into the second round of the draft. ESPN Boston has suggested that the rookie's had a little trouble picking up the offense, but that's to be expected in the Patriots' complicated scheme. Dobson will challenge for starting "X" receiver duties.

    Just sayin'......
