    An Alternative to Mounting

No, this is not a Southside biopic. I need to secure my flatscreen but can't/don't want to mount it on the wall. Does anyone know of anything I can use that would just really secure and support it on my tv stand?

I'm hoping to find a bracket type deal for both sides of the bottom of the set. Kind of like how the transport panes of glass, but different. I figure worst case I can just hire a carpenter to build something pretty easily and cheaply. Figured you finger-sniffing mongos watch a lot of tv, why not start here.

Well, if he plays his cards right, he could have a furry puzzy in his lap!

An alternative may be oral or manual release.

Be careful. Michael Douglas got cancer of the mouth from mounting a TV that way once.

    Yes, true.

I hear you can mount a TV the other way in Vermont massage parlors.

    Hey brady's a catcher, I'd go with PK's suggestion. I mean, he's a qualified plumber and all.

Like the nitwit that I am, I was following along hopefully until I got to the packed bowl, and I don't even know what ratchet straps are.

I have to say though, the one actually helpful post was way more that I had expected.
