Coaching and conditioning. The reason Kotites Jets lost so many early leads is they were out of shape and gassed after the first. Read my post about non-supervision off the off season conditioning program earlier for more details

Kotite started a rookie cornerback named Vance Joseph against the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. Tim Brown torched him and we got our asses whipped 47-10 on national TV. One of the many lowlights of the Kotite era.

And Joseph wasn't even the worst Jet CB ever.

That would have to be the infamous Don Boyd Odegard.

I watched the Bills game that season. Kelly lined up, looked over the D and then successfully threw the ball right to whoever Odegard was "covering"

That was 1995. Joesph wasn't even a CB - he was a college QB/RB and the Jets signed him as a UDFA and converted him to a CB.. The Oakland game was the first time he saw the field as an CB.. national TV against an all-pro nonetheless. The stadium was anything but rockin that night -I'd say 10,000 people remained by the start of the 4th quarter.

2008 Fins went from 1-15 the year before to 11-5 and won the east was that due to Sparano coaching, Chaddy cakes or Brady getting hurt in game one??

Keyshawn Johnson " we are the best 1and 15 team ever " So there you go

I believe that was quoted to the daily news or the fan. Don't remember

Memory goin for this Ole timer. And for me I had about 25 jet years in already in 95. Wow it's all a bad blur

we are starting to mix the time frames up here...

Rick Terry and Dorrian Boose were Parcells picks (1997) along with Lamont "Dirt Bag" Burns, lol

Aaron Glenn did get hurt on the 3rd bomb to Galloway but it was two years later....1998 week 14. not sure if it was a high ankle sprain or ACL (Forgot) but it was in 98.

The bomb to Galloway was 1998, we were talking about that 98 SEA game. We were just a bit off track from the original conversation. Boose and Terry you are correct.

    uniforms of that year

Even as a Pats fan, I freaking loved the mid 90s Jets uniform. Especially the away uniform with the green pants. I loved the black accents with the green and white.

You can see them pretty much on all the big scoring plays of the 90's. It seems that all the big O plays were against the JETS. Watch ESPN do a offensive show and the JETS D is on the field.
