Yeah, I've only seen about 10 minutes on you tube. Namath had a couple of Sanchez games that season, but his arm was ridiculous . Jet defense was historic

It's a nice little piece on the team. I bought it off itunes and watch it whenever I can.

I'm just looking for a copy of the Jets Hard Knocks.

The DVR has been set since I saw the schedule this morning.

Thanks. I watched it about a year+plus ago. Very well done. Gave a good understanding about Namath and the significance of SB III. Since I was not around to see the Jets win a SB, the old video was really fun to watch. Not to mention how Shea was rocking.

You know when that team really jelled?

When they got him to stop being a gun slinger and a bit more of a game manager type. 4 straight games with no TD passes. Run the ball, control the game, throw it, but don't throw pics left and right. He did have that good game vs. Oakland in the playoffs, but even in the SB, 208 yards, no interceptions, no TD passes.

Yeah, he understood he had a good team behind him. No reason to screw it up. That's probably would've been an undefeated team if Namath played under control the whole year. I didn't see the team, but from what I can tell

Let's not put a HOF member in the same sentence as POS Sanchez.

    Question.

Why did the Jets host the AFLCG that year with a worse record? And

Why didnt they play a playoff game?

They did lose to the raiders in the regular season

Jets won division, oak had to play kc to win theirs,
division winners played cg (afl only 10 teams)
Cg rotated east - west each year

Wow. Maybe history changes without that rotating schedule

    Thanks

    Good show but...

Is there a way, does anyone have, a replay of the actual game? Or how can I get one? Don't mind paying, just not sure where to look.

Yes they exist. I think NFLN plays every single SB during SB week. You can DVR it then. I also think the game is floating around on YouTube.

I have a copy of the SB III game I bought some years ago on VHS (and transferred to DVD using a DVR. I have never seen the AFC Championship game vs Oakland available anywhere

I'm sure you can find a torrent of SB III somewhere.

The morning of that game a NYC cop saw Namath emerge from a hotel with a female after a night of partying.. He bet Oakland he lost..

Buddy Ryan coached that NY Jets D. The start of the '46' defense.
