What you really are telling us is, that, although you want a coffee "buddy", your upbringing places little walls between you and humanity.

yet, your heart is not as black as shakin's. Odd.

I don't really call coffee people anything. Although, as I was walking in downtown Montpelier today, a guy with Down Syndrome walking down the sidewalk raised his hand to give me a high five (it was awkward, I think our pinkies barely hit.). I didn't give it any thought, but I just said "S'up Ace?". I might start calling people Ace.

I wish I had the verve to call people "Tiger". Some experts can get humans to growl in public by using this hailing.

    You are seriously undervalued/underrated here.

I'd bet you would post more if your state wasn't on fire all the time.

This feels awkward. Does he have polka dot shorts on and is not wearing socks?

I would love to hear his version of this encounter. I suspect it would be much more cogent than your rambling mutter-fest.

I think I call my guy Hugh Goddit.

Every day he goes hot coffee, just half and half? ANd I go Hugh GOddit.

He seems very pleased that he remembered my order and I suspect that he thinks I will drop 20 bucks in the tip cup because he retained the complexities of my unique order. I would feel better having him just pretend that Im a first time customer and let me order than having him half way done pouring the the thing before I even open my mouth.

I even bring exact change so he doesnt go to the trouble of making change and thereby "padding" his workload for teh tip he will never get.

I walk away feeling bad I didnt tip him for a cup of coffee and he is prolly thinking rude things in another language which is alot going on for such a simple transaction.

If I go to the local deli, it's self-serve, so derp.

If I go to Starbuck's, it's some guy named Gus.

If I stay home, it's me again.

"Now you can call me Ray, or you can call me J, or you can call me Johnny, or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me Junie, or you can call me Junior; now you can call me Ray J, or you can call me RJ, or you can call me RJJ, or you can call me RJJ Jr." ultimately ending with, "but you doesn't hasta call me Johnson!"

Juan Valdez, aka Carlos Sanchez (Mark's long lost cousin) retired in 2006.

My barista is usually LaQuanda and she does a magnificent job getting me my Venti iced red eye.
