    Car Wash Products?

Serious question (besides a hose, bucket, water & sponge)

Its been a long time since I had a vehicle worth washing - my wife bought this Blue Coral stuff but it streaks horribly and it basically sucks.

Is there anything out there you guys normally use that you'd recommend?
Hitting an auto parts store late and there is a f uckton of products out there.

    Mix in some soap.

    Leased or owned?

Are you a doer or will someone else be washing it for you?

How far from the car will you be washing?

A serious answer ... Meguiar's Ultimate Detail Spray ... Is great in between washes ... I keep so e in the trunk in case of Bird attacks ... Spray it on and soak the bird crap .. Let it sit for a minute ... Paper towel dab it off ... Then spray again and polish with soft microfiber cloth,

Whats a carwash go for, 15 bucks?

You'll spend 30 bucks on product, then two hours washing at the rate of 7:50 an hour.

    Common

Any products made by Mothers or Meguiars is good stuff.

That's if you're going to make a habit of this, though. Don't spend $40 at pep boys on all your supplies to do it once.

Will you be wearing a hairband when you wash the car?

We can't wash our cars down here because of drought and water restrictions, so I have no advice.

All we can do is go to a car wash, so I use the self-serve one (yep, I'm cheap sometimes) where you have to do the work.

throw some Shaws dishwashing detergent on it and you're riding in style.

Steel wool will work better than a sponge.
