    I like Dave.
Love Dave and most everything he does. As a percussionist, I hold him in high regaurd. As a musician, even higher.

I don't really, or did I ever understand the distain that people hold for Nickelback. They aren't great but they're still 10 fold better than Bieber.

I guess they have THAT lofty goal met...

At least we're not Justin Beiber!

    Way to go Nickelback!!!

Yeah, I'm not 100% onboard with the Nickelback hate either, but I'm certainly not a fan. All their stuff sounds the same and kinda tired, like they're trying too hard.

I'm totally there with you on Grohl though. He really is an incredible musician and Foo is slowly starting to move into that megaband status that stands the test of time. They've been around for almost 20 years now! Crazy. And they're still making platinum albums. That's the kind of stuff you don't see all the time....it's Aerosmith, U2 territory.

I was a big Nirvana fan, but the amazing thing is that we would have never known that all that talent was sitting, hidden behind a drum kit unless Kurt did what he did. Dave Grohl was born to be a frontman and it would have been a waste to see him cooped up behind a drum kit for decades.

He and Courtney conspired to have Kurt killed. Very shrewd business-folk

Someone in my area has a Hummer H2 with "Nickleback" written on the top of the windshield.

It's like they said "I've bought the ultimate douchebag-mobile. There has to be SOME way I can turn the douchebag effect up to 11"....

I forget what record it is that they hold but its one of the biggest in music, over the beatles, bg's and mj etc. I know who gives a sheet. The one blonde was ok back in the day, like Kelli w/o a crank.

I thought this thread would be a natural honey trap for that Great War guy but not even a nibble. Which suggests to me he's either dead, AFK, or hospitalized.

No one's mentioned the Smiths or Morrissey yet.

Nine Inch Nails was pretty gloomy.

Staind was definitely gloomy, and ****ty.

Portishead makes me want to slit my wrists.

Elliott Smith tried to slit his wrists, I'm sure, but just decided to stab himself in the chest instead.
