"The Diva" was in my hometown yesterday...

....He visited kids at a football camp and signed autographs at a small store. He was not spotted at any bars, casinos, or strip clubs...because that's not how he is. Let's just hope his skills can match his attitude and work ethic.

All good stuff. Working hard, improving weekly, has a good shot at starting position, learned the play book etc. What's not to like.

How bout dem ears. When my cousin played at WVU he and some of his teammates used to hunt squirrels on campus with their M-15's. That was back when Hoss, and Talley were there.

That was 1983, right? They made my Saturday a few times; watched them; really liked Hoss for his toughness (reminded me of a better Pat Ryan) and then over to the Great Meadow for pickup flag football with the locals.

I am ignoring the naysayers on Smith. Everything I've seen points to a young man with 1st round talent and a passion for football. It was to be expected that he would be a bit frazzled for the OTA's. Now he has had a couple of months to study film and the playbook. Camp will show whether he is ready to lead the team from day one. Personally I hope so as seeing buttchez out there does not inspire confidence in anything.

Yeah I was very confused by this title. Thought it was about either Santonio or Chad Johnson.

So the people who actually know Geno and the people from this board who have met Geno only have good things to say about him. What an *******.

One reporter asked questions about Smith's performance in West Virginia’s the bowl game at Yankee Stadium in late-December of 2012. The Mountaineers were routed 38-14 by Syracuse in a game in which Smith threw for 201 yards, two touchdowns, but was sacked in the endzone twice, resulting in two safeties. The reporter's question was about Smith playing poorly in the cold weather at Yankee Stadium. Smith interrupted the reporter in mid-sentence with:

Smith: How didn’t I play well?

Reporter: Critics have said you did not play well in that game and that they can extrapolate-

Smith [interrupting again]: That’s an opinionated thing. That’s what I always say. That’s opinionated. My coaches are the ones who critique that, not a fan or a reporter.

Sorry, I was employing the literary device of sarcasm. It is a form of irony. However, I did make you look.

My cousin was there from 81 thru 84. Their big thing was in 82' when they beat Ok, and went to the Gator Bowl.
