Damn thing is awesome. I kinda didn't want it to be because its so simple, but its cool as hell.
I'm kayaking the Rio Chama next week in New Mexico and bought it so we could smoke over the propane burners. No fires in the desert so making do.
Smoked a porkloin with applewood bacon, worstershire/sherry glaze and fresh garlic in 40 minutes start to finish to try it out.
Talapia smoked with alder wood in 16 minutes. Badazz
Okay, just got off the river today and the Cameron was a hit. Every mouth I fed wants their own. The river was awesome. Pushy class 3 whitewater all day. I ran saftey boat all weekend, well that and probe on the biggest brownest water.
Every night when we pulled boats off the river, everyones priority was to get me smoking on the Cameron and then playin creekside chef with our numerous boxes of food.
The damn thing is so simple that its shameful that it works.
I have got 8 hours to kill, lets put on the Cameron!!!
seriously, how do you control the temp in that thing with your heat source from bottom only???????
It actually smokes and cooks at the same time. Its three times faster that using a big grill so I can use it twice before I can finish anything outside.
I used my gasone camping stove all week and weekend with it, and its been great.
