It's quite hilarious when you think of jets fans opinions of Sanchez at that time and of Geno now. It will also be interesting when Geno has to compete for his job in training camp next year while Sanchez who had 20 picks and a 60 rating was anointed as the next franchise QB.
Just seen the Cimini tweeted it. Granted he surpassed Sanchez but what if Geno had the talent Sanchez had how would he be? Geno haters are going to very disappointed when he gets talent.
This kid has shown flashes of being a very talented and physically gifted QB. Unfortunately he was put into a situation where he had to start when he clearly wasn't ready. This year he has gone through growing pains, I feel the Jets should NOT use another high pick on a QB. Surround Geno with better talent next year that, combined with having a full year experience under his belt, gives the Jets a better chance to evaluate how good he is. I have high hopes for him!

A record and a telling one. Geno's been thrown into the fire and definitely been battered.
I am not so sure about his stats have been helped by the quality of his receivers.
But I think his inability is as much to blame. Geno has looked god awful the last few
games. Honestly he could go either way. Better get a good backup lined up next
As you can see we have some folks here who refuse to acknowledge any small steps in the right direction.
While Geno has had games we all would like to forget, there have been flashes. It is my belief that he has not yet caught up to the speed of the game.
When given the time any rookie needs. Geno has looked very good. While I agree he needs to show continued improvement next season and eliminate the poor rookie decisions.
A strengthen offensive line and upgraded WR core along with a full offseason program should accomplish many of those goals
The Jets must also commit to a solid veteran who can mentor Geno and step in in case of injury or regression next season.
Let us know when Geno surpasses the record for INTs as a rookie NYJ QB also.
I believe it's with his next one.
LOL - exactly. Or when he sets the "record" for most consecutive games started without completing at least 10 passes, which I assume he already has.
Geno has a shot these next three weeks though. Nothing says he has to throw an INT these next three weeks - would be great to see him finish the year hot so the Jets can focus on other areas this offseason.
Before moving on from Geno, I'd like to see him get a shot with legit receivers. Before moving on from Rex, I'd like to see him take a shot with a legit QB. Geno himself can make both of these things happen with good performances over the last three games and into '14.
