If we can absorb the cap hit this season we should just cut him now

you can not cut an injured player, and he already moved some of his guaranteed money into next year.

And then give a reasonable deal to Braylon and bring in another Top-Flight Wide Receiver with the money they were paying Holmes.....

You are certainly not talking about his time with us surely.

Holmes shouldn't be on the pup list he has graduated to the dog list.

Guy may not be perfect, but he is a competitor, a heck of an athlete and the team is much better with him playing. I always liked Braylon a bit more, but it doesn't have to be one or the other here. Those two compliment each other well.

Add in Kerley (the new Cotchery), Hill (if he can catch), and Winslow (if he can stay healthy) and we may just have some decent weapons for whichever QB starts.

Remove our "#1" option and things already strart looking suspect. Wish we could get some definite word. Is the dude done for good or will he be back sometime this season?
I am no DR but i did sleep in a Holliday Inn, it was explained to me this way by one. It takes, amongst many things, blood vessels to heal bones, muscle, ligaments, etc, no brainier. In this area the blood supply is so minute and vessels so small that that new growth and healing is extremely unpredictable. In Holmes case the bone or ligaments may simply not be growing in order to fuse do to lack of blood supply as what happens with some bones in some areas of the hands and feet.

I had a friend with the same fracture, in a cast for over 6 months, came out and immediately re-fractured. Now he did not have the sports specialists or dr's the Jets have, but you can imagine if he was not ready to come out of a cast after 6 months you can understand why Holmes may not have been either.

Once again, not a doc, just repeating what was told.

They will have as good a chance as any team in the AFC east.

There is a lot however that can be done to stimulate circulation in the foot, from treatments (which I'm sure their fancy doctors do) to simple things like topicals.

Will the Jets collect his jerseys from fans and give us a trade-in value?

Fine with me; what about Morningweg giving him different roles? Would you bring him back for reduced salary...money so short you can set your watch to it?

Why give up? he is guaranteed $7.5 million this season to smoke some weed and talk to his foot

and he is not going anywhere since it would cost the Jets an additional 2.5M cap hit to cut him (Thanks Tanny)

Oh, I thought you have to get through the AFCE, and or the AFC and then one team from the NFC like the Giants, my mistake.

A Lisfranc injury is no joke. At it's worst, it can end careers and leave you permanently disabled.

That is one thing that AH won't lack for is Commissary money. That money is going to make him a target once he gets out of jail and goes to prison. hey it's Massachusetts and a redistribution of income is the name of the game.

736, 654, 272 yards as a jet, never equalled the 4 previous years as a steeler. He also had 2 lost fumbles in 2010. He had 2 games over 100 yards that year. He had a couple of good games but you don't pay a guy like a top 10, #1 wr if he simply never showed it ffor the jets. Overall when you add the attitude and problems he brings along with the overall lack of production, he stinks and the sooner he is off the team altogether the better.
