Cimini: "Anonymous Vet: Geno can do more than Sanchez"

    http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/stor...ays-geno-smith

Rex Ryan acknowledged the plan Wednesday, saying last year's strategy under former offensive coordinator Tony Sparano was ill-conceived. The Jets' coach also said he'd like to use*Geno Smith*on read-option plays, claiming he can be a weapon. The news came amid signs that Smith has pulled even or perhaps ahead of*Mark Sanchez*in their quarterback competition.

"He can do more" than Sanchez, said one veteran, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
    ________

Does this signal the return of the dreaded Anonymous Player?

Geno is not a air head is more intelligent and will get better in time.

Not really my point, though. I'm primarily wondering why this anonymous player stuff is coming up again. Unless, of course, Cimini is completely bull****ing (shocking, I know).

So....Who does everyone here think the "anonymous vet" is?

My vote goes for either CRO or, believe it or not, Braylon.

McElrat has no room to talk anymore. The circus is gone and after his performance(or lack thereof) where he didn't do jack, he's nothing more than a waste of roster space on this team.

doesn't mean he aint talking. he must know he's as good as gone and he never hesitated to speak his mind anyway.

"Anonymous Blind Person: Geno can do more than Sanchez"

  16. #16
Guys. Please don't forget how much these writers can stretch things. "Anonymous vet" can also include some Training camp tackling dummy that cimini asked for a quote.

And it certainly doesn't mean a starting player by any means

very true. but on the flip side, what tackling dummy would observe practice and say that 'sanchez can do more than geno'? a stupid tackling dummy?

    OMG people.
The unnamed source is a figment of Ciminis imagination!
These press guys even with the backing of ESPN are dinosaurs.
They have to come up with something that screams from the tops of mountains to even get a looksie from us Internet searching fans.

KRL had a better report from camp!
I mean seriously, we have had Pat Kirwin, Brian Baldinger, every tweeter, numerous fans, tell us that Geno looks to have a better arm, more accurate, & the fact that he's picking up things really quickly, ( from Marty himself), so is it really a stretch for Cimini to just make this up?
It's the new journalism, a bunch of CRAP!
