I haven't heard Sapps name once.

Doesn't seem like last year when he appeared to be making some plays in TC. Anyone hear/see otherwise?

I feel bad but at this point he is taking away reps from someone else.

I dont see how he makes the team this year, unless there are injuries to the other guards.

@eallenjets: McElroy directs a 2 minute drive that results in a TD. G-Mac's arm lively today - had a nice hook-up with Stroud to cover ground.

@SethWalderNYDN: In the inside the 10 drill they ran at the end, Sanchez looked better. Scored twice on three tries. #nyj

@CLoprestiWFAN: Practice over. Sanchez more productive inside the 10 but Geno looked the part again today. 50-yard missile to Spadola was the highlight.

@SethWalderNYDN: QB stats: Sanchez 10/16, 2 TDs, INT, sack. Geno 5/10, TD, 2 sacks. #nyj

Here are his career stats. This is the definition of a JAG:

That seems par for the course on JI. Aren't a bunch of this year's signings being declared busts?

Much more true than having an average line and a great back.

He was a feature back in the NFL Championship; was productive in that offense. Stick with reality, not with some sliding-scale approximation of who's "the best". PT can ball; he reminds me of a more explosive curtis martin.

EDIT: 4.8 career is a JAG? He catches some 3-5 balls a game as well.

New Orleans is by far the worst offense for any rb to be in. Not only do they use 3-4 backs but they throw the ball 50 times a game. So to go just on stats is stupid.

    Yeah really.

SOJF are scurrying looking for ways to knock this down.

Yes, and if we take the leap that Geno is currently ahead in the competition, I love that Sanchez is keeping the pressure on.

No. A below average back won't get all the yards that are blocked (dancing, missing holes, missing cutback lanes, not following blocks, etc.). A league average back will get the yards that are blocked, and nothing more. (See Greene, Shonn). An above average back will get additional yards beyond those that are blocked (make defenders miss, break tackles, etc.)
