I agree with others who have mentioned all of the "white space" after shorter posts (one or two lines). Not only does it make the page "brighter" but it seems like an unnecessary waste of space. JMO.

Minor thing (might have existed pre-upgrade) - I was changing a few settings on my profile but couldn't save them without entering a ZIP code ... rather tricky to do for us overseas users.

Green background much better than blue, it will be sweet when the lil New Forum Post avatars come alive.

Thanks for the feedback. Just wanted to let you know that we are looking at all of your comments and in the coming days as we add features and plug ins, we are going to address every concern. If you don't see a change immediately, don't be concerned because the whole process will probably take a few weeks. Thanks again for you patience.

I'm not a huge fan. My GTR board went this way some years ago, and It's never been the same. Never.

It's just not as personal a format. The user cp doesn't feel warm and fuzzy and the software is filled with cumbersome drop downs and pull downs that are supposed to more "advanced" but really, they just turned a comfy cutlass into a awkward volvo.

I wish title thread font size was larger than the secondary "Started by..." line font size. All the "read" threads just blend together. It's much more difficult to scan the board now.

Always great to hear that users/customers are being listened to, and whether all suggestions are implemented or not, it's important to know that concerns are being heard.

With that said, I'd simply suggest that as you and your team consider, accept/reject, and then prioritize the change requests you also think carefully about how to release them. You could simply wait until all the changes are decided and then do another "big bang" approach, taking the site down for a couple of hours. You could also release the changes one by one or in small packages/groups. I'd suggest a little more towards the former. It can be very confusing coming to a site where each day, or every few days, a couple of things change. It makes it seem like a moving target and an evolving design. If the changes could be implemented in one or two big releases that's what I would prefer simply because people start getting used to using the site, they form habits and a way of doing things. If every few days a button is changed, a link or menu item disappears, a drop down changes to a pick-list, etc. it can be somewhat disorienting. I'd rather have you guys take the time to give thoughtful consideration of the suggested changes and then one day see them all implemented, but that's just me.

just a thought, but a chatbox at the top of the forum would be kinda cool.

Yes, agreed with all who mentioned the about of white space. Difficult on the eyes.

Maybe we can get some different themes or skins. I know some forums have a darker theme/skin that is easier on the eyes.

The old board wouldn't display graphics in signatures and avatars if I wasn't logged in. This has become a problem when my wife sees various semi-pornagraphic images flashing on-screen in this new format. Any chance the new format could be configured to only show graphics when viewers are logged in the way the old site did?

    Much appreciated.

Speaking of semi-pornographic images, we should go ahead and FREE BORGO.

Oh, and I like that there's more "GREEN" in the username area than before. Much more tolerable.

Good catch. This was an oversight. Signatures are now disabled for anonymous users.
