    Joe McKnight arrested (last week)

title of the thread should specify he was arrested LAST WEEK, July 30th. Not today. not really a recent event from the team's standpoint.

Wouldn't be surprised if McKnight doesn't make the final roster. Guy's got speed but no toughness.

“I don’t care who they bring in, they’re going (to have to) kill me to take my spot. You understand that now?” McKnight said Thursday.

“Just because they bring Goodson and Ivory in they already think I’m gone.

“They just bringing people in for competition, they ain’t bringing nobody in to say, ‘Joe is done.’ ”

McKnight told the Daily News he’ll definitely make the team.

“Yeah, I’m going to be on the team, I ain’t going, no damn way,” he said.

McKnight continued to insist that the acquisitions of Ivory and Goodson don’t affect his place on the team.

“They have to beat me to take my spot first,” he said. “Man, look, they told me it’s a fresh slate.”

With this, plus his poor conditioning and generally bad camp thusfar - so much for a fresh slate. "Joe is done"

Arrested for $320 in unpaid fines, after being pulled over in a Mercedes. An amount so trivial, that he paid off an equivalent bail almost instantly. What a dumbass.

    "...changing lanes without signaling."

If I had a dollar for everytime I saw that on the highway, I'd be a multi-billionaire.

I would not cut him from the team for a traffic violation. The guy still shows up for Kick offs and screen passes. If someone beats him out then we move in a different direction. If by chance Brad Smith gets cut from the Bills and the Jets go after him, I can see Brad taking that roster spot.

Right now no one has any idea where Goodson is. I'm pretty sure McKnight's roster spot is just fine with or without a traffic violation arrest.

I think a lot of people should care. That in itself is a huge problem in society.

A traffic violation that just so happened to expose two others: $200 fine for failing to produce and insurance card in the town of Summit. A second warrant for nonpayment of a $120 fine from a ticket for failing to observe a traffic signal in Springfield.

Maybe we can all start caring when his horrendous disregard for driving safely kills someone?

What kind of dick smack would even arrest him for something as stupid as that?!

I mean... I've been arrested for similar but my license was coming up suspended. (all a mistake, later dropped in court) Overzealous dick cops

Given our lack of depth at RB, and his ability to return kicks, I agree that McKnights roster spot is probaqbly safe. If Goodson returns and Ivory proves he is healthy, then maybe his spot is in jeopardy, but for now, I have to agree that he is probably safe.
