If you want to find examples of Holmes past behaviour, I suggest Google. I'm not going to do it for you.

Again, also go and watch games from 2011 - Holmes' lazy route running and lack of effort is plain to see, if you are prepared to see it.
    Waste your time?

Give me ONE example where he threw players under the bus, where and how has he shown that he has an over inflated sense of his own worth, when did he run half-assed routes and list examples of insults he has made about his team-mates off the field.

You apparently can't, just want to throw what you dream he has done.

I'm sure you've looked and can't find it. How about just a list examples of the insults he has made about his team-mates off the field?

    You're sure I looked? I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Can you back up your claim that I looked? Or are you just making stuff up?

This is a boring conversation. You have your opinion (based on your own observations) and I have my own opinion (based on my own observations).

Any further to and fro is, frankly, pointless and, yes, a waste of both my time and yours.

In all honesty... I don't see the hate on the Tone-Time 1st down point/drop...

How RARE is it that we get a first down?! It's worth a little celebration if you ask me!

That's an AFC thing, rather go ape**** over a sack especially if blood is drawn.

You're asking me to back up a joke that you looked up something?

You can look until the end of time and can't ever find proof to back it up.

Insulting teammates etc, should be provable.

You're right about one thing, repeatedly pointing out this very simplistic fact and watching you dance around this point, it is boring.

I'm not a Santonio fan but we really need him this year. Him (and Ivory) playing at a high level could really change the season for us in a positive way

This could be more the truth then anything else on here. I really dont buy him and Mark went from arguing on the sidelines week 17 vs the Dolphins to being Valentines last season. It was a great story last year but I dont think he has any love for Mark at all. After everything is said and done though I was under the impression the whole reason Holmes gave the JETS a salary cut was because he was going to call his own rehab. We are whining about what 2-3 weeks of camp when he has been in rehab for what 7-8 months now? He pretty much had to learn to walk again just a few months ago. People are acting like he is coming back from minor surgery. Reminds me of Manning throwing after his surgery and people saying he was done because he had no zip on his long ball. The same people bashing him for this are the same ones claiming this was a career ending injury.

Santonio's edge was his speed and routes. With that injury he has, I think he may be a 4.6s vs 4.35 40 yd guy this year. He's also 29.5 yrs; age is creeping up on him.

Well I am entitled to my opinion about Santonio being selfish and not being a team player and that's why we post here. I don't need to give anyone specific examples of why I express my opinion. That being said I am glad he is on the active roster and I will root for him just as much as the rest of the Jets. What he does on the field is what matters most including how he gets along with his teammates in and out of the locker room which I hope he handles well this year. I admit that my opinion is mostly from news articles and from message boards like this so I realize I don't know Santonio very well to say exactly what kind of person he really is and quite frankly neither does 99% of anyone else on here. He makes tons of money playing football and I spend lbs of money watching it. I give him credit for getting himself ready for the season and I would have handled the NY media the same way if I were him.

Darn right ur opinion will be respected. DOnt let these peeps bring down your passion, i thinkSantoni-Ho sucks too, but will root for him and LisFranc as long as they are Jets. (hopefully 5 more months)

BTW... Where is there ANY evidence whatsoever that he "refuses to practice" ?

I saw the PC with him and he was saying the next step was trying to find shoes he could cut/plant in.

I agree ... I will root for him when he is on the field for us ... But this guy is the definition of cancerous JAG ... He has never been much more than that. Stats can be deceiving ... But they don't outright lie.

... And the crappy first down celebration of dropping the ball ... That's just plain punk etiquette,

Even if he blew up and had a fight with anyone, in the last game of the season, in a game that they were losing, to an inferior fin team, with the playoffs on the line, how did that one game, do anything? I wish our QB and others would have been this p1ssed off.

An uknown source says they argued? Or didn't talk as they used to? I can find just as many articles saying that they made up, went to vaca together, etc. So they may or may not have fought. As if others don't. And if they never made up, didn't go back to being friends, we know it had to be Holmes fault. Couldn't be Sanchez who did anything wrong. Thats the funny part, 2 guys we don't know may have fought and we all know it was Holmes fault. Because Mark is so mature. And a true leader. As if 53 men have to all be buds. Again, that was the tail end of one season. They've long since made up.

And of course none of this proves Holmes gave up, never gave 100% on the field or cost the team games. He wasn't even on the field a year ago most of the year and was easily their best offensive player when he was on the field.
You'r just plain wrong. Read this from LT about Holmes and Sanchez.

Details of the Sanchez-Holmes feud emerged at the end of the season, but Tomlinson said things started to fall apart in the third or fourth week.

"I've been around some locker rooms and quarterback-receiver situations and what-not, but it was as bad as I've been around," Tomlinson said on Showtime's "Inside the NFL," which aired Wednesday night.

"You know, it was at the point where I think the players could no longer do anything about it. There was nothing that the players could do. So when it gets to that point, there are certain changes that need to happen. Can it be fixed? I think absolutely it can be. But they're going to have to make some tough decisions."

Tomlinson said the players actually had a name for the rift -- the East Coast-West Coast beef, because Sanchez is from California, Holmes from Florida. He said they "poked fun at it," but he added, "In all seriousness, Santonio, obviously, he's a great player. There are some things that obviously he needs to work on as far as being a leader."

If he were the GM, Tomlinson said it would be a "tough one," the decision on whether to keep Sanchez and Holmes together. The Jets have said they plan to retain Holmes, who signed a five-year, $45 million contract before the season, but their true intentions will be known in the coming weeks. He's already guaranteed $7.75 million for 2012 and, if they don't cut by him Feb. 8, they'd have to guarantee an additional $7.5 million.

Tomlinson, contemplating retirement as he heads into free agency, didn't spare Ryan and Tannenbaum, intimating they contributed to the mess.

"They created this," he said. "This is the type of football team that they wanted. Mike Tannenbaum, Rex Ryan are both brash, in-your-face type of style, say whatever you want, just get it done on the field. And then it leads to other things, as guys are calling each other out and saying, 'I'm not getting the ball' or whatever it may be."

It was a bitterly disappointing season for Gang Green, and there's plenty of blame to go around.

Perhaps it's no coincidence that, on the field, Sanchez and Holmes had terrible chemistry. There were 29 quarterback-receiver tandems in which the quarterback targeted that specific receiver at least 100 times, and the combo with the worst completion percentage was Sanchez to Holmes -- 50.2 percent.

The Sanchez-Holmes relationship started to fray after a Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source. Afterward, Holmes called out Sanchez and the offensive line, criticizing them publicly. The next day, Sanchez spoke to the offense as a group, asking for team unity. Shortly thereafter, Holmes made more critical comments to the media.

In the days leading up to the final game, Sanchez called a special quarterback-receivers meeting to watch film and Holmes showed up, complaining, as first reported by ESPNNewYork.com. He didn't show for the next day's meeting. In the game, Holmes was benched after jawing with teammates.

How can you keep denying this? Are you going to attack these messengers also?

Holmes was running the other day. Rex has said he is keeping himself in good shape. It might be that he is not in football shape.
You go from giving the greedy douchebag the benefit of the doubt even though he has been known league wide as a scumbag..to questioning why the jets haven't cut him yet before he is even medically cleared...I have no doubt that if he is doing this 2 weeks in they will ir him..

Both Holmes and Braylon Edwards are one off-field incident away from being cut- people seem to love Braylon for what he says, but I firmly believe that he dogged his injuries when he was with SF and Seattle- he said all the right things on camera about he was happy to be there and how Russell Wilson was the best QB he ever played with, but didn't put up any numbers and when the Jets called him as a last resort, goes back to the sweet talk for the team he helped in 2010 (which will look completely different soon, hopefully).

Remember the DWI? The main difference between Santonio and Bray is that Bray shows remorse and Tone hides from the media when confronted.
