Thread: Jets to bring in QBs.

    Jets to bring in QBs.

@AlbertBreer: Per @Gil_Brandt, and via @RVacchianoNYDN, Jets are bringing Matt Leinart and Trent Edwards in a for look in the wake of Sanchez's injury.

    Leinart, lol. Why?

LIke I said, have no doubt this is a serious injury. Rather, reinjury to a previously injured shoulder.

Tells me that Sanchez is done for the year, or at least will miss significant time.

I'm not the biggest Sanchez fan but this is a blow.

Hate to see the kid injured because of a goofy decision.

    Won't suprise me.

Bringing in other QB's does. What purpose does that serve?

Smith #1, Simms #2, McElroy #3, then let the chips fall where they may in 2013.

    2013 isn't about 2013 anyway.

They're both better than Sanchez. It also insulates Geno from being forced into starting if he is not ready yet. So I cannot see this being a bad thing.

I can't stand Sanchez but lets not give Leinart any credit here.

I don't know if they're better than Sanchez but I agree there is no significant difference.

Poor Sanchez. He deserved better. A bit of irony that his biggest champion would serve him up like that.

Full steam ahead with Geno. Not sure why we are bringing in these stiffs. I am OK with Geno, Simms and McElroy. If I had to guess they are going to see if one of them is better than McElroy. I doubt it though.

And do you really expect either QB to learn MM's system in two weeks. If Sanchez is injured bad , its Geno starting unless the team has balls enough to try Matt Simms.

I thought Edwards signed with the Bears?

He completes almost 70% of his passes. He prefers a short passing game. Now? Working with MM? The master of the short passing offense? That makes too much sense to ignore.

And the 70% completion percentage is MILES better than Sanchez has ever been.

They aren't better than Sanchize (both are bad), but Geno isn't ready. Throwing Geno at Revis ans Belecheat in the first two weeks is a recipe for crippling his confidence.

McElroy clearly isn't the answer long term.

Contrary to report, source says Jets have not scheduled a tryout with Matt Leinart #NYJ

You convinced me. I'm psyched about it. Shocked he's not starting already.

SAR is going to be thrilled, he was begging the Jets to draft Leinart in '06.

Why doesn't woody come out and tell us that we are tanking 2013 for bridgewater.
