Always funny to hear the anti-market enablers of high prices turn around and complain when it actually affects them personally

Even funnier to hear you call anyone a dolt. Obamacare is just going to make things worse. Dolt. How we got here in the first place is because of nuts like you who oppose free market common sense solutions. So quit whining and eat the meal. You cooked it.

I'm curious, since you made the meal and now have to eat it. What's it taste like?

Have some heart mate, politics aside, PK is one of us. If this is how he needs to blow off the tough **** in life, so be it.

I got my ears cleaned by a ear, nose, and throat specialist. A young 20 year old did it instead of the doctor. It took about 5 minutes and I got a bill for $320 for a consultation visit (where I never saw a doctor). There are a lot of doctors who feel they have a right to charge outrageous fees to compensate for their years in medical school.

Doctors offices over bill the quality of their exams all the time. Rates for exams are set in stone with insurance carriers and providing doctors. There are set limits to what level of a procedure you can charge based on time, dr. involvement, decision making, ect.

I just paid someone $2500 to go over all the parameters of what makes legal billing for everything in my office, evals, re-evaluations, treatment times, rehab. If they bill you for a detailed exam, just call the office and complain. Then say, "If you do not take care of this today, I will call my provider (insurance company) to tell them you are over billing." Your doctors office will drop it.

All offices are scared to death of audits. I do everything I can to do it right, and I am scared of audits. They will drop the cost, there is no way they want to risk an auditor from an insurance carrier coming in.

    Thanks for the educational reply.

I was so angry I applied for Veteran Benefits and was accepted. My copay is zero. I still have insurance but between the deductible and copay I'll go to the VA first.
