I havent heard anyone (outside of this forum) say Bridgewater is going to be great. Hes the top QB prospect but that doesnt mean he is going to be great.

Agreed. When it is all said and done Bridgewater may not even be the top rated QB in next years draft. He will have a big year because Louisville plays an atrocious schedule and faces zero competition. Barring some sort of Lattimore type injury, Clowney will be and should be the #1 pick in next years draft.

Who the hell cares what Peter King predicts? I predict his morning dump will weigh more than a cinder block and have a corn kernel smiley face.

So what do we do about the QB situation if you're deciding to skip over a top QB prospect? (Since Sanchez will be out and Geno apparently failed considering we have the top pick).

Im serious. The Dolphins OL is in shambles, they can't block anyone. You don't think the Jets can beat the Bills.Beating the Pats once would be an upset for sure. With no Gronk and Hernandez, considering the rivalry and the beatdown last year, winning one of those games wouldn't be a surprise

The Jets could have a very bad record and Geno could show enough to not warrant drafting another QB next year. Using the Jets final record as a determining factor on whether Geno failed or succeeded is foolish.

    Bridgewater?

    Just. NO.

We're tanking this season for Clowney.

Not worth predicting until about 6 games into the season. Good teams can look like sh!t in preseason and dogs can look like contenders. Several things always hold true though.

    1) QB play determines playoff berths
    2) Poor qb play hurts more than poor defensive play
    3) Strong defensive play usually gets you deep in the playoffs if qb play doesn't hurt you
    4) The Raiders will draft the fastest guy in the draft.
    5) Elite receiver impact is generally overrated.

If the Jets ended up with Clowney, Arakpo in free agency, a nice rookie LB with one of their two third rounders you guys would be jizzing your pants!
Could you imagine, long 3rd downs would hellacious!
Coples, Arakpo, Big Mo, Ellis, Snacks, damn!
Jets are gonna have a BOATLOAD of money next year & 12 picks (maybe more as I see them unloading Wilson to a CB starved team).
but.. with MO's rookie deal up. That's going to cost them a lot if he makes the pro-bowl too.

It will be half of what Revis wanted
Jets are still ahead of the game
Tone & Sanchez contracts are like 16 million

Not to mention - Revis is on the books for 13 million - THIS YEAR!

There's 29 million next year in just those three.

AND - Muhammad Wilkerson is signed through 2014.

Yea but the Jets cannot let him get to free agency. Next off season is the time to get an extension done.
