Why would you IR GMAC? If you think Simms is better do GMAC a favor and cut him. Keep him to teach the others?? That is what you want for this kid? I see no value in IR'ing GMAC, he already played that game once. I mean you all think he is such a bum why not release him? Nobody will pick him up right?
Now if Sanchez is injured IR for him could be fun.....

I like Simms better then McElroy, but McElroy has played well when given the opportunity in the preseason. Simms has a higher ceiling then McElroy, I think Simms sticks.

The Jets can't let McElroy go until they really see how bad Sanchez is, or until other teams roster cuts are made. Can't go into season with 2 QB's (Geno and Simms) who've never played a down in an NFL game. May bring in a vet that's cut, but way to risky to let McElroy go under present circumstances.

Never seen so much vitriol aimed at a 3rd/4th string QB.

Regardless, my money is that all 4 stay on the roster. The chance all 4 get to play this season seems more probable than not.

I'm also quite confident that if cut, both Simms and GMac would be picked up immediately. Probably by the Pats. No thanks.

Where do you see an infatuation?

They have years of experience with Gmac, kind of know what he is.

Simms has a couple of preseason games against grocery baggers, no matter how fans go over the top with any QB who has a decent 4th QB, CSs have to be sure.

Have to love Cimini telling people you can't carry 4 QBs. As if its never done

BB tends to keep only 2 QBs on roster. Who knows if he keeps Tebow as a third.

Didn't we have the same type threads when Gmac started and played a preseason game vs the same Eagles his rookie year? Didn't he throw for 300+ yards and had JI calling him a steal, starter material etc?

Its what lead to fans thinking he could actually be a starter last season. You know, until he actually started and showed why the CS was reluctant to start him.

Nothing better than being the unproven QB on any team.

You can do that when you have Brady as your starter and a competent backup

Simms is ahead of GMac but slightly behind Smith

    Both are ahead of Harrell

All three are ahead of Sucky the TO machine

Won't happen but maybe GMac stays because Sanchez is gone next year.

    1) Cap implication if we release Sancho this year if i am not mistaken.
    2) Idzek is a gm that sees every player as a potential resource that might bring some kind of asset back in return.

I am at the front of the dump Sanchez line but it makes no sense to do it this year.
