They need to offer free porn on the JumboTron to liven things up a bit.

Or, they could try fielding a reasonably good offense for a change.

Bingo! I have memories of them playing Blood sweat and tears spinning wheel, while they're at it bring back the Jet Set Majorettes, I guess we have a version of that in the flight crew.

All the noise before the kickoff, just to much for me.

I'm a little older so I guess thats' half my problem.

I don't watch too much college football, but the few times I have turned it on, there is none of that pumped in, loud, fake noise by the PA system.
Basically it's just football with the school band and some cheerleaders, and a great crowd.
But to emphasize, football is the main attraction - not secondary to everything else. Almost like time has passed the college game by and it's not over produced.

So what I'm trying to say is I like the idea of the band.

    Just my two cents
Nope I agree fully. But the owner asks the marketing, etc departments what they are gonna do to increase fan enthusiasm/support (meaning revenue) and all kinds of dumb ideas see the light of day.

sure it's niche but they already offer a snuff film on the field, no?

Thanks for the reminder.. Those were fun times at Shea !
I was just a little guy, our seats were in the closed end zone about ten rows up from the field on the Jets side line

If I remember correctly The Bob Cleveland Orchestra used to play in the open end end zone seats ?

You know what makes the stadium fun? Winning, and watching the opposing QB have his clock cleaned everything else is a distraction.

I think they reached the pinnacle of fun when our QB tried to stick his head up his linemans ass last year, how do you top that

The G Men also have a Drum band - I think they are the same band in different uniforms.

7 Offensive TDs would make the stadium pretty fun. Broncos fans look like a kid in a candy store (or porn store).

The drum line is fun. They also lead the JETS chant now.

No. Two dudes and a butt are considered porn only in Foxboro.

When I went to the Jets-Giants game a few weeks ago, I couldn't believe the Giants had a drumline. At the time I thought it was Mara's sissy answer to the Flight Crew, since the Giants are too "classy" to have cheerleaders. They were supremely annoying as they banged away on their ****ty drums at halftime and during commercial breaks. The whole time I was making fun of the Giants organization for employing such a lame, amateurish sideshow act. This isn't high school, it's the NFL.

And now I find out the Jets have one too. Obviously. Because that's what we want. Clowns.

It does add the the game when things are going well. When losing, the last thing I want to hear is a drum line.
