    New York Islanders 2013-14

Time for a new season, and a new thread.

    Tavares is the Captain.

    Nabakov back in net.

    Carry on.

It's sad to see the most popular thread in JI's Pro Arena Sports Forum history go, but time to turn the page...

    LOL

First preseason game starts next Tuesday. Doesn't mean much.

First regular season game is October 4 vs. the Devils.

Perfect timing for the new thread. Just bought tickets this AM to the Isles-Flyers in Philly 11/23, then gonna drive down to Baltimore for the Jets-Ravens on the 24th. To quote a certain linebacker -- Can't Wait!!!

I'm bummed - I was totally going to go (much easier for me than the Coliseum) and now I have to be in San Diego for a work conference. I would like to see what the Barclays will look like but part of me is scared knowing that it definitely won't hold a candle to the Coliseum's sight lines. We can't help but be disappointed.

Going to try and go to the Rock or the Coliseum for opening night.

Also, I'm disappointed in the realigned division name, and the new "who makes the playoffs" format.

Agreed on both. Metropolitan Division? Seriously? And having 16 teams in the East is really bullsh!t. Especially considering how difficult our Division is. Pens, Rags, Flyers, Devils, Caps, Isles....even the BJs are up and coming (Canes? Meh).

There will be some good teams on the outside looking in. Here's hoping its the Flyers and Rags!

It's this hatred mentality that will maintain the Rangers as the superior franchise.

That's funny coming from a fanbase with such an inferiority complex that they chant "Potvin Sucks" at every single game.

Stick with "Our goalie is better than yours". That's about all you gots goin' for ya.

Video is great, not sure why you are having a problem. Best part is no announcers. Poulin looks sharp so far

I had it for about 30 minutes and just lost it. Try to relaunch and I am getting a message that the video is not available in my area. Go figure - It was available 10 minutes ago. I too am disappointed.

No problems on my end at all but I am in FL. End of first...nice goal by Grabs and I noticed Regin playing well. Poulin looks great but the PK in this game not so much. He made some great saves and his lateral movement looks improved.

It is weird with no announcers, just the stadium guys. Should have printed out the roster

It's only a preseason game and the Isles always get shafted on TV so you're really not missing much, but it's fun. Thanks for the roster but it doesn't have numbers. I've searched high and low and can't find the numbers. Which is so important without any announcers.

I got about 80 regular season games to watch beginning in about 2 weeks. I guess I will get over the disappointment of missing a split squad preseason game.
