Just looked at NFL cancellation history other then strikes etc the only game cancelled because of weather was on December 26, 2010, a Sunday Night Football game between the Vikings and Eagles in Philadelphia was postponed to Tuesday, December 28, due to a snow emergency. And that was because most fans couldn't make it.. Lightning may clear the field for awhile unless the storm stays over foxboro for a extended time would there be a cancellation.
Latest wrf - nmm which baseically a higher resolution Nam model is depicting tstms training on same path...like trains on a train track from LONG ISLAND SOUND TO FOXBORO AND BOSTON SUBURBS. The Hrrr high resolution rapid refresh model which is the other of those 2 high resolution mesoscale models shows no rain till 03 - 06z between 11 - 2am.
There is a strong trough / neutral titlt / meaning north - south along the cold front which is moving across the great lakes right now. Pre frontal and frontal storms could definitely cancel tonight's game. Stay tuned for updates.http://www.spc.noaa.gov/
This 50/50 guess, what is your source? Is this your opinion or are you getting the 50/50 from somewhere else, in which case please post a link. Because unless you can provide a link, I'm changing the thread title to "In My Opinion....."
