    This lose is on MM.....

Pats defense was tired in the fourth quarter why not run the heck out this game with Ivory and Powell, why he kept having Geno throw to hand less receivers who have no clue where the phuck they are on the field. Damn we had this game.

I've been saying this for the majority of the game thread. MM's playcalling was truly head-scratching at times. To be so pass happy, with this little amount of talent, is ridiculous.

If only we had a head coach that understand offense...

Nope .... It's on Geno and then wideouts.

I think we fought hard and came up short. We lost to the Pats in their house by 3 points with a rookie QB. Our D played light out. Geno fought like a warrior and the WRs dropped too many balls that were there on time. It was a brutal day for passing but I thought we mixed it up pretty good. Remember we aren't ground and pound any more. The passing threat opens up the run.

Geno gets some of the blame for some throws but the WR gotta catch some of these passes. They just have to...

    Disagree.
    I like the play calling.
Guys were open and they either dropped the ball or Geno under threw them.
MM schemed them open... not his fault they **** themselves.

35 throws for a rookie QB in the driving rain, meanwhile Ivory's sitting on the sideline with about 5 ypc

Exactly my point, why not use Ivory he was getting some good yards on dirt touches.

35 passes isn't a lot in 2013, sorry to tell you.

edit: for reference, the average team threw 37 passes in week 1. 35 passes is below league average.

It's not the amount of passes so much as the KIND of passes that were called. Throwing bombs on 3rd and 7 is ridiculous. Get the first down. Keep the chains moving.

Last year we had similar WRs and no Holmes. Are we saying last year's 6-10 record wasn't due to QBing?

    This.

If the receivers were doing their jobs earlier in the game, Geno wouldn't have felt the need to force things in the 4th quarter. He doesn't trust the receivers...for good reason. I'm listening to Mariucci now, who was impressed by Geno at times.

And Michael Irvin, HOF receiver, just said that he would cut Clyde Gates in the locker room.

3rd and 3 run it, not have him throw to Hill and it's way over his head, which yes GENO must throw a better pass but have T-BO or Ivory punch for that first down.

It was too much tonight. Too much for Geno.
