    Stephen Hill's Value

I think it became pretty evident that without Hill as our best playmaker, our offense just doesn't have the bite that it needs. Holmes is essentially a slant route guy, because he's just not beating guys to the outside right now. Even that TD, the corner was right there with him against the Bills. Kerley is a good but not great player, but he needs outside WRs to take away attention from the middle. And the rest is garbage at this point.

Hopefully, Hill is fine. Thanks for the refs not calling a penalty on him getting lit up for no reason out there. But this offense really needs another WR. Ben Obamanu might as well just leave. A bunch of penalties and doesn't do much anyway.

As I said in another thread, I didn't see the hit that sent him out, but it sounds like it was a pretty blatant crown hit to the head. There is a reason the NFL is trying to outlaw hits like that, because they cause injury almost on anyone that receives the hit. To question his toughness or ability to stay healthy due to a cheap shot to the head is ridiculous.

    Is he still rehabbing?

Jets could sure use him, even if he was hobbled...

OR how about using Spadola for a change?

The way our receivers are dropping, he might suit up in Atlanta...

As much as we may value Hill..we undervalued/under used Powell in this game

Yeah... Apparently Greg Williams didn't learn his lesson. How is that scumbag allowed to even coach in the NFL still?!

This is the third time Jet receivers have been hit this way.

Would anyone trade a 2nd round pick for Josh Gordon now.

The Jets best receiver is Jeremy Kerley and he's nothing special. It probably will be Hill, but patience is gonna be needed with this kid.

I think Rex answered that question 1 week ago when he said NO.

Well, he was talking about that upcoming game in particular. Not the season.

Exactly. The only time I heard Obamanu's name was when he was being flagged for penalties.

We can have patience, but injuries is a concern. He gets hurt too much.

True but overall it seems he's hurt more than not. But that's just gut, too worn out after that beating to research it.

He was last year, but he had held up so far this year. The hit was pretty bad, and pretty much blindsided him. Pretty sure he got a concussion from it.

Probably caught Seattle handing out PEDs to the players last, gathered evidence, and then blackmailed Idzik to get him on the roster.

All he did was make penalties. And one really stupid one, when he decided to hold a guy on a kickoff that went out of the endzone, AFTER the ball had landed outside.
