    fyi :

    Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.com
Once Chris Ivory injured his leg in the game, it made perfect sense that the Jets were going to need some more help at the skill position until Mike Goodson can return from his suspension and even then, it might take Goodson some time to acclimate. The Jets might just be updating their data on Nelson but a running back rather than a tall receiver might make more sense, even if just for a week or two.

#Jets have signed former Hofstra RB Kareem Huggins to the Practice Squad. Learn his story here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iubiwSIckI4 … @waynechrebet #nyj

Since this is a silly thread to begin with. How many here would give up say Richardson, Davis and a first rounder for AP?

For those who think this would be worth exploring no matter how implausible it sounds, which or our young studs would you be willing to give up?

Personally I think Richardson will be all-planet in the next few years if not sooner and so I would not give him up.

Would not give up Richardson, no way. RBs have limited shelf-lives.

Richardson, Davis AND a first rounder??? That's way too steep for a RB.

Just to repeat.... THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.... but fair any trade is probably one where both sides wince a little. So simply for valuation purposes which of our current guys would represent close to fair value for the league's best running back, albeit one with a few miles on him?

    Hell no

Giving up two young, central cogs in a potentially dominant defense for a RB that is two years away from hitting the 30 year old wall?

What the hell is wrong with you people?

We just got a first and a third for the league's best DB, which may be harder to find. Not interested in giving up that much (or more) for a 28 year old RB who will need to be paid big bucks.

    Jeezus you miserable f&*k.......

    "FOR..... VALUATION.... PURPOSES... ONLY...."

What part of that is too large to be absorbed into your thick skull? Do I need to use words with only one syllable? I am sorry but this board does not support an animated bouncing ball.

I have already stated earlier in the thread that I would not trade Richardson for him straight up.

Untouchable's point is still valid, even for valuation purposes, its a foolish trade. Two young players like Richardson and Davis is way too much to give up for a 28 year old RB, even one as good as Petersen.

Yes we did do that trade but we also did it in part because we did not feel that qwe would be able to sign him and so I am not sure that the price was not reduced because of that and the fact that there were no other buyers for Revis.

That's what they would ask for probably, no chance in the world do i make that trade and AP we all know is the truth. We have to stick to the plan.
