    Ken O'Brien teaching....Rex is teaching.

I really like this, because I think this is the way most of us view life. Go Jets.

Seriously. What is the deal with the Ken O'Brien fascination?

Look at the qb's that have won all the super bowls in the last 15 years. They all had O'Briens arm. We finally have a great kid with a launcher and a destructive defense. Can't you see it?

    I don't get it.

Don't understand the fascination with Testaverde either.

Pennington was the closest thing we had to a great QB since Namath.

O'Brien was better than Pennington. O'Brien was a top 5 NFL QB in 1985 and before he was hurt in 1986. He was never the same after that, but O'Brien was awesome for almost 2 years.

Ken O'Brian was a great QB for the NY Jets. The huge issue for Ken was his name wasn't Dan Marino

I agree. O'brien had a rifle for an arm and great touch on his deep balls. He was a tough guy and took some horrific shots. He would get up and complete a long pass after nearly getting killed.

Ken O'Brien is underrated as a QB. The problem is that he was drafted before Marino. What helps O'Brien are that epic 1986 QB duel that he won which is considered the greatest QB duel ever and the fact that Marino not only didn't win a Super Bowl, but only got to one.

O'Brien is the best non HOF QB from the draft. He's fourth behind Elway, Marino, and Kelly and ahead of Eason and Blackledge.

Ken Obrien had a great arm and great accuracy with a very low interception %. The thing with Kenny was the potential of what could have been. After he got injured in 1986, he was never the same QB. The guy had put up some tremendous numbers before he got hurt. In 1985 and 1986 he completed over 60% of his passes with 50 TDs and 28 INTs and over 3500 yds each of those seasons. Those were just his 2nd and 3rd seasons as a pro. After he got hurt late in the 1986-87 season the guy was never the same QB.

Kenny's biggest problem was he would not throw away the ball and stood in the pocket too long. When you consider he played with a horrible O-Line and his weakness was his immobility, it makes you wonder what could have been if only he had a decent O-Line. It was a terrible combination. Plus he played for Nose Picker Joe which would ruin anyones career.

Yeah, but lets see if Geno can complete 61% of his passes for 3888 yds with 25 TDs vs 8 INTs and a 1.6% INT percentage in his 2nd year as a pro.
Geno has a long ways to go before he can compare himself to Ken Obrien

Pennington was a nice kid; great spokesman for the franchise; the body of a wet noodle.

It's one thing to appreciate Kenny O. I think he was underrated.

But I want to know why YOU are so infatuated with him. It seems your singular contribution to this forum is posting Kenny O videos. Threads about a QB who hasn't played in over 20 years.

    It's bizarre. what gives?
