WOW! Shocked by release of Sapp, could've sworn we'd see an OL released. Also picking up Campbell over Spadola is a serious head-scratcher.

Sapp no great loss. I'm sure the Pats will enjoy claiming Spadola.

I would prefer Spadola over Gates also. He did something to piss someone off. Gotta be.

Probably showed off in practice by throwing the ball and catching it by himself.

Ok, obviously Clyde Gates is some kind of undercover FBI agent, planted to investigate the drug trade in the NFL and it's above Rex's pay grade to release him. Ugh.

No idea why Gates keeps getting all these chances.

Spadola is not going to be claimed by New England. They have enough young WRs as it is.

Spadola had some chances to make a name for himself. But he ended the preseason on a bad note and the one chance he got to play in a game, he did not perform well. When you are a undrafted guy you need to perform IMMEDIATELY in order to cement your position on the roster.

And why is Gates still on the roster. Well one, he actually had a reasonable game against Tennessee and two he has speed that the Jets WR corps needs.

NO, every single player the Jets release gets 20 or so posts predicting he will sign with the Pats.

You can bet the house on it.

Sapp joining the other legendary JI scrubs hyped into oblivion?

Thats where I would guess it started but given how often they're wrong that they would stop. Its all and every player.

Which of course means this time they will sign him.

But you have to think about it logically. When Woodhead was released, he was signed by the Pats to replace Kevin Faulk, who got injured. The Pats have no need for another slot receiver and another young receiver when they have so many already.

Eh. Woodhead is a pretty decent player. WAY over hyped on this board, though. Every time the guy manages to pick up 3 yards, there's 50 posters going "WE MADE A MISTAKE! WE MUST HAVE WHITE PETERSON BACK!".

If Barnes gets hurt, we have no speed guy off the edge.Sapp's nothing special, but he's all we have as backup.
