Put him on the edge and see if he can do anything....

    +1.

Pace is Pace, but Coples needs to wake up and play the way he's capable and expected to in terms of pass rush.

TBH, he seals the edge well for the most part, which is his major assignment in Rex's defense. Pass rushing, he needs to step up (goes without saying).

That sucks. I thought he played well especially in the opener.

He was getting consistent pressure, but with Wilk and Snacks getting doubled, and Coples getting chipped by a RB a lot of the time (this for the haters) I don't think it's as impressive as it seems. I hope someone else. Maybe Sapp, who hasn't had a chance, or Davis. McIntyre has actually had chances. 146 snaps, 50 pass rushes, and has more hurries(8) than Barnes, but no hits, and 1 sack. Barnes had 152 snaps, 98 pass rushes, 2 sacks, 4 hits, and 5 total pressures.

The worst part of it in my perspective is that I'm afraid this will mean Pace will see more snaps.

Pace is way too inconsistent as an edge rusher. He only makes a couple of plays a year.
I'd rather see some fresh blood in there rushing the edge on 3rd down.

Oh yeah, I remember towards the end of the game he was kneeling and couldn't get up and the medical staff came out but still it didn't seem that bad. Damn, was one of the better off season signings for Idzik

It's been 3 years. Ricky Sapp hasn't worked out.

    Look elsewhere.

Tired of these injuries, Barnes is a solid player in his role, but I don't think he's irreplaceable.

    I'd keep Braylon.

    Dump the rest, though...

But man.....when can the Jets have an actual Edge-pass rusher?
Aaron Maybin....oh wait, you actually wanted a sack?

A sack of fries from White Castle, maybe...

Fug! Was looking forward to his ferocity on the field. Dammit.

Bad news. I wish him the best in his recovery. Maybe he can come back next year.

This is big loss, I know everyone's buzzing about the Jets defense but how many 3rd downs did the Falcons convert Monday night?
To me, it seemed like a lot.
McIntyre better play a good game Sunday, he's slow but he's got strength & he'll need it to pull down Big Ben.
