Become a gym teacher. Summers off and you can play dodge ball all day. Or safety sciences. Those pricks make a good bit right out of college.

Absolutely agree with Engineering. I'm a manager in R&D. Been lucky in my career with a B.S., but if I could do it again I would get an engineering degree. Larger science companies highly prefer engineering degrees over a B.S., some even require it. Engineers have higher starting salaries and have a much easier time getting jobs. Good luck with your choice.

Engineering is the EXACT occupation that Steve Jobs told Obama the US wasn't producing and is sorely needed.

I'm a retired engineer with a MSEE. I had a good career; however, I had 4 jobs before I settled on one company. I had an opportunity to work for the Power companies but refused as it wasn't interesting. I worked on developing GPS which was much more interesting. I also helped test the military internet when it was first developed. I satisfied my interest but could have tripled my salary if I worked for the power company. No regrets though.

BTW, most companies that get gov't contracts are laying off right now due to the sequestering and over spending by the Defense dept.

Might as well take under water basket weaving because a Bachelor's degree is about as good as a high school diploma these days. Its all about a Masters or starting your own deal
