Then they have something going. One win followed by a loss means they are inconsistent at best

Agreed somewhat. The Jets are not "respected" by the experts as a playoff contender, but they are now "respected" by other teams and coaches because they are a "dangerous" team capable of beating any team if the breaks go their way.

    Oh yeah, zero times.

We turned the ball over, we gave them the game on a silver platter when we shot ourselves in the foot.
The Steelers came in and punched the Jets in the mouth. Even without the turnovers, can you for certain say the Jets would have won that game? No way.

Uh yeah they would have had a much better chance.

Why do you think the jets lost that game in your opinion?

I don't know, SAR.... You tell us.

Andy Dalton does NOT impress me in the least.

AJ Green can be blanketed by Cro....

However, defensively, Cincy's front-seven is just as nasty as ours, especially in the Run game. So look for Marty to dial-up some slants, some screens(hopefully), and the occasional deep bomb(to test their corners) in this game....

This is a kool-aid analysis of the Bengals man.

Cromartie can not touch AJ Green. Maybe he can catch up to him on a deep out when he gets burned by a double move. Green is world-class and Cromartie is not Revis. Book a PI call or two on him.

Dalton is not a stud, but he's also not a dud. Having a very solid year, 65% comp %, 2:1 TD:INT ratio. Remember Jake Locker had a big day and nobody was scared of him going in.

Jets biggest strength is up front on D. Got to run, run, run, convert on 3rd and hold onto the ball. Control field position battle and time of possession. Running on them will be tough, but we aren't beating Cincy in a shootout if Detroit with Stafford/Calvin couldn't keep up at home. Set up the play action pass so it really sells and hopefully we can convert for big gains on those plays. If we can keep our defense off the field and not put them in bad situations, this will be a great game.

Remaining schedule is so much more favorable than the first half. 1 out of the next 2 would be huge. No team is a cakewalk anymore, but after New Orleans our toughest opponent on paper is a toss up between Baltimore and Miami. We are in the "corner" right now, and halfway around it. One out of the next two puts us fully around it. Two out of the next two and we're cleared for takeoff.

Thank you ESPN for the pre-season ranking, without your help we might actually be winless!

let me see....the patriots beat the then undefeated saints without gronk and the jets beat the patriots with gronk and hold brady to ZERO td passes....why is it when the jets win it's because teams are suddenly worse. This team did not turn a corner...they are what they showed during pre season...a solid team put together by a smart brain trust with good coaches. And how do you know that Geno will hit a wall.....has luck-Russell Wilson etc hit a wall. You have not crystal ball and you can easily assume. At 4-3 I am looking at the jets compared to the rest of the league....the jets will be in the mix in 2013. Before the season started people had the jets losing to the bucs-falcons-they were supposed to get swept by the patriots and the dolphins would challenge the patriots for the division. The jets are currently tied for first place with the pats in the AFC East. Now the reality of the teams are showing and your statement is that the jets won because the teams are bad.....lol well go back to before the season. The season started...players get hurt and the jets also have players hurt. Perhaps the jets are just playing GOOD football. They held Brady with ZERO td passes and should have beaten them in foxborough. Getting a win in the nfl is difficult......the 2013 is a good team that will only get better.

Meh, I wouldn't say so. We'll know in the next two weeks if the Jets can sustain this.

By the bye week (wk 10) we should get a much be idea of how this season will go.

according to the experts the jets were supposed to be the worse team in football....after 7 weeks they are tied for first place in the Afc east....that has shown me more than enough.

Let's just worry about the Bengals.

They are a good balanced team playing very good defense.

Just like the Titans, the Patriots, and the Steelers they will take advantage of any opportunities we give them.

We need to keep mistakes to a minimum, play our best and take care of business.

Until then the Saints game may as well be next year.

This thread is getting ahead of itself. This team has gone W-L-W-L-W-L-W. If the team has turned a corner then it is doing so nascar-style. Let's see the team go consistently in one direction (and hopefully towards wins) before we predict the rest of the season. This is no different than the threads that appear after a loss saying Rex is fired, the season is over, etc.

    +1 works both ways.....

I refuse to get excited about life after the reg. season until we beat Cincy, or NO, or both. If that doesn't happen then what corner have we turned?

Actually the steeler game may turn out to be the best thing that happened to the JETS this season ,after that win the team the fans players were getting a little to cocky about them selves ,our rookie QB was putting himself in Elite status .that game brought everyone back to reality .Rex called on the Fans because of all the black & gold terrible towels there the week before and got JET-LIFE stadium to a place it hasn`t been in decades for the game against the Pats .when we win in Cinci. this week ,that same loud Home field crew will be so pumped Bree`s won`t have a chance ,and after these 3 wins in a row,we will be sorry we have the bye week coming.

Come on, let's be honest. They have won more than 1 game.
