Thread: The Democrats

    The Democrats

The Democrats are a true cancer in every way. The Republicans thought there was a deal but Harry Reid but put the poison pill to work wanting the sequester cancelled and the spending returned to 2011 levels. Yolk you Obama, Reid and the rest of these ass wipes. Drop Dead. Republicans take the country down. God Bless America, but Yolk Obama and the rest of them.

No the Dimocrats are doing that quite well at that. Let's make this real simple if you have sewerage backing up into your basement do you raise the floor or fix the problem. I bet the Democrats would raise the floor(debt ceiling)!

If sewage was backing into your basement, you owed 300k on your house and the sh*tstorm was gonna threaten to destroy your entire house.

You don't have the money to fix it.

    Do you:

    Borrow to fix it?

Pout like an a**hole, shut your electric off, move out of your house and claim that your lender needs to put down their Koran?

Do you fix it or not? A very simple question

and it wasn't a problem for Obama until it was his credit card they were using. As a congressman he preached on NOT raising the debt ceiling.

The way I understand to avoid default we need to pay about 30 billion/month. Tax reciepts are on the order of 400 billion/month. Get a calculator and subtract 30,000,000,000 from 400,000,000,000 and you will see why "default" is pure rhetoric. There are a lot of issues fiscal and otherwise that are wrong with our country but neither side is willing to bend or to really discuss any of the real issue or make any of the tough choices to actually solve anything. IMO more government is the opposite of what we need.

He was in the Senate not the house - and he entered office two months after the worst financial crises since the Great Depression. By March of his first term (two months in), the stock market had lost 50% of its value. Fifty-f***ing-percent. In the great depression we lost 54% initially, ultimately 89% within 16 months of black tuesday. So we looked back and thought, well, Hoovers plan (do nothing) didn't help in 29, what do we do now? Then we spent trillions to stop another depression and the Dow has steadily climbed back up.

That's why the debt is where it is now. Oh and we spent 3-4 trillion in Iraq/Afghanistan while lowering taxes.

Oh the irony of the Republicans blaming Obama for overspending when it was the Republicans who are chiefly responsible for a) the debt that is already there and b) for the Global Financial Crisis that had to be addressed through massive amounts of expenditure and therefore debt.

If you want to see what an Obama presidency would have been like in terms of debt with no GFC you only have to look at the Clinton administration when the debt levels actually dropped.

    Do you:

So you are equating Social Welfare spending with (unproductive human) sewage backing into our National Basement, causing a proverbial welfare sh*tstorm.

    Interesting choice of analogy.

One might want to consider fully if every dollar of our $17,000,000,000,000.00+ in debt, and our current budget as well, was/is as vital as fixing a sh*tstorm in action.

So PK, are you ever going to tell us how signing up for the ACA went, how much you saved, etc?

Always green you won't get a answer from the plumber. He just blames Reagan or the tooth fairy. But all knowing one who ran both sides of the Senate and the House? That's right the Democrats, Reagan made deals Obama doesn't know how to spell the word.
In other words he is nothing but a spoiled petulant child who thinks he is something he is not? Great he is not!

The Dems respected a leader who had a mandate from the electorate in Reagan's time - the Republicans currently respect nothing, they've gerrymandered their way into the house they control despite having a million less votes nation wide. They have all the hallmarks of some of the worst political parties in history, especially including the Nazi Party of Germany circa 1928 - 1932. Good luck with defending your Republicans because the rest of the world think they are a laughing stock, and increasingly your fellow Americans think the same.

My God. It's bad enough when Americans parrot liberal blog nonsense like this. We care even less what you think. Why don't you 2orry about your own house?

Seriously man, wake up and smell the coffee - the Reps are done as a party that is actually representative - they are terrible - and thanks for biting on the Nazi reference because you Rep idiots always do. Not that its that far from the truth, but whatever given the general IQ you Rep supporters have.

30 years ago, Reagan did not have a Congress where congressional districts were gerrymandered to produce the dysfunction that currently exists in the House of Representatives. Furthermore, no President, including Reagan, negotiated with the debt ceiling. None. Why should Obama make a deal with a minority [Tea Party] in the House for them doing their job? ACA/Obamacare was legally passed, ajudicated in the highest court in the land, and past the political test [last November's election]. Just because the Tea Party does not like the outcome, that's their problem. As conservatives were quick to remind Democrats under Bush, "elections have consequences."

As for your myth that Obama does not know how to cut a deal, really? How about the extension of the Bush tax cuts? The debt ceiling deal of 2011 that produced sequestration and the bipartisan "supercommittee." In fact, you don't need to go back that far. Just look at the deal reached this past New Year [over the holiday].

Our country is better when there are two viable political parties. We need a strong Republican party to provide a counter view. No one party has a monopoly on good ideas or governing. Unfortunately, if the GOP does not get rid of the Tea Party crazies, their party will suffer greatly. If that's the case, our great country will suffer too.
