Saw this brought up in another one of my threads. Do you think some team could snatch him away from us? If

You don't think Tampa or Minny would be interested?

Marty was a disaster as a HC for the Lions. Probably won't get another chance.

I sure hope not. He had a bad experience, and a horrible record. Hopefully Woody is willing to pay him HC money to stay on as the assistant HC/OC.

He was a disaster in Detroit for those who dont know, but that was a long time ago.

Hasn't been a head coach in over a decade. I'd be surprised if he got that much interest, regardless of how successful he is with the Jets.

True, but Matt Millen was his GM then.

Marty is the classic example of being a great coordinator, but a TERRIBLE head coach. No chance he gets another head coaching opportunity. However, being on a one year contract, there is always the chance he gets an offer from another team to be the offensive coordinator.

MM is in the same boat as Norv Turner. Both really good offensive coordinators. Both horrible head coaches. It's just the way it is.

How was Belicheat his first time as a NFL HC or Pete Carroll? MM also had the worst GM in the history of football during that span.

Hush up there. What you really mean to say is that any team would be crazy to offer this guy a job, and he would be crazy to accept. He'd be smart to stay with what's working here where he's appreciated with the Jets...Right?

Is there precedence of a HC who got fired, took a coordinator position, and then got anther HC job?

Wade Phillips HC of the Bills, DC of the Cowboys then HC.

It wouldn't be shocking if the guy took a 2d rd rookie QB, on a team that some had as the worst in the league, and got them to a top 10 offense. Genos performance will dictate whether he gets any offers IMO.
