No but seriously if you said I had to pick a QB to play one game I'd hold my nose and go with Ben and just keep an eye on my 19 year old daughter.

But as things stand right now I think Geno is more valuable than Ben simply because we don't know where Geno's ceiling is - we know where it is for Ben.

Exactly. We "didn't have a QB" in '08. But Miami did.

    Here's what you look at:

People wanting Ben - are you looking at old Ben from the Superbowl years, or this season's Ben, a turnover machine almost like Smith.

If we're ready to win, and need a QB, then you look at him. If you are going to tell me that we're rebuilding, then why would we take him knowing he's on the downside of his career?

I'm not particularly sold on having him, but I'm open to change my mind depending on a few things.

That's sort of the point I was making. If management/coaching staff thinks the offense would be better suited sitting our QBs for a season or more and learning from somebody with experience then he's probably at the top of the list of available QBs in the league to fit that role. I don't get the sense that management/coaches have that attitude, in which case we should pass.

I doubt Roethlisberger would want to come to the Jets anyway. He's be better off going to a team with a major QB need but not so low in the draft that they can capitalize on the options out there. He can pick up a big contract that way.

He's probably looking at the success Peyton and Alex Smith are having and thinking he can do the same. He would do great here but I'd still pass.

This. Arizona is the most likely destination. Minnesota seems like a good fit too. They would almost certainly trade him to the NFC.

By the way, I am a big fan of Ben as a QB. Special player with a truly, unique skill set.

Ben continues to say it isn't true, that goes for him asking for a trade as well.
