Here is a link to a great article on Sidney Frank and the origins of Grey Goose Vodka. Most who read it come away with 2 thoughts: First, Sidney Frank is a MotherF'n genius. Second, maybe Grey Goose is a bit over-priced.

    Gosling's dark rum from Bermuda.
;-) My old man likes those. Five, six years ago we were on a family cruise and he orders one at the pool bar. I asked if he wanted it with a splash of sodomy. My mother laughed, my wife punched my shoulder and the Laotian waiter had no idea what I said.

    Lol.

I'm a big fan of ginger (ironically I really dislike oriental food). I'm too young to be drinking cocktails so I stick to beer and shots, but on occasion when we have to put our old man clothes on (suits), it's Dark and Stormy or Old Fashioneds all day.

Bacardi and Coke; sometimes ask for 151 if I'm feeling especially rambunctious.

During the summer, an Alien Jizz: equal parts Coconut rum, Midori, and pineapple juice. Knocks you out.

Sorrrrrrrrry. Maybe you should knock back a cocktail and relax, Mr. Correctamundo.

FTR, I like Tom Collins and gin and tonics during the summer time. A Toasted Almond or eggnog for the holidays is nice, too. Otherwise it's scotch and cognac for me.

I am primarily a beer and scotch (not together) feller. In the rare instance that I drink liquor not poured straight it's blood and sand or an old fashioned.

It's Sunday after the Jets play. What's your favorite cocktail?

I'm going with arsenic and lye with a lime.

If you ever want a great martini in Manhattan got to Ouest Restaurant on 84th and Broadway.
Tito's is surprisingly good. It's cheap down here in Dallas. Not sure what you guys might pay in NYC but we get it for like $30 a handle. Way cheaper than the super-premium brands and it's my favorite second to Kettle. I'm not much of a vodka drinker these days but I drank a ****load of vodka in my 20s.

Dripping Springs Vodka is another good Texas vodka. Not quite Tito's but could easily hold its own against other top shelf vodkas. More pricey than Tito's and probably not distributed very far out of the Austin area.

There's also Nu Vodka which is made here in Dallas. It's not quite as good as Tito's, more along the line of Absolut but cheaper. Good call liquor for mixing. Not sure how widely distributed it is.
