Now at the season is pretty much finis. Predict Idzik's 1st move towards a new beginning.
I was leaning towards axing Rex .. But I really think it's going to be Holmes first ...
.... and then Rex.
I do think the cuts happen first. Then the additions,
I don't know when the cap ramifications are in the best interest for the Jets, however, it should be releasing Douchetonio Holmes. That guy will go down in Jets history as one of the biggest turds in franchise history along side of guys like Damien Robinson.
At least Matthew Hatchette wasn't an a$$hole. Reggie Tongue was a stiff, but again, at least he wasn't a turd.
If Rex is fired it will be Rex since it would happen on Black Monday or at most a day or two after. After today seems super unlikely Rex stays.
Yeah because the team gave maximum effort and was in the game for most of it against a team that will go deep into the playoffs and maybe the SB and no one expected the Jets to beat. Yep that is grounds for firing the head coach
Exactly, Idzik/Woody will want to have their HC in place before major personnel decisions are made. IMO, Rex is a goner but since Woody loves the guy, there are still reservations about that.
To your point about Woody, my biggest fear is that the first offseason move is a contract extension for Rex. He can easily defend it by saying that most people picked the Jets to have 3-5 wins and they ended up with 7 (after they beat clev and lose to mia). Mediocrity is fine with him, as long as the Jets are still relevant in the media - Rex guarantees that - so people continue to watch and buy jerseys.
