    A way to deter Trolls from signing up under a different name after being banned....

    The only TRUE way to keep idiots like that away from here is to have a ONE-YEAR waiting period for any new poster to even have the ability to post.

    Meaning, the "Reply To Thread" or any other "reply" buttons will be disabled for a "new user" for one full year.

    If this clown or others like him have the PATIENCE to wait a year in order to start posting their garbage again(and then get banned and have to wait yet another full year to start posting again), BE MY GUESTS!


    So what do you guys think? Is this plan plausible?

    Why would a website do something to decrease traffic?

    That's terrible; suppose a newbie reads something disturbing, say a Jet Nut rant. He might want to sign up just to take a swing at the guy.

    It's un-American to stop that expression of....of....of....
