    Draft Simulator From Fanspeak

Apparently fanspeak is running a mock draft simulator and seems decent, albeit probably not a great predictor.

    http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/

I did a 5 round mock to get:

    1. Lee (Armaro was really the only other viable choice I saw)

    2. Kelvin Benjamin (ASJ was there, but I like Benjamin too much, also passed on Cooks, Coleman, and Richardson at WR)

3a. Aaron Colvin (Passed on Sanky there, but liked Colvin too much, although I would take Jarvis Landry over Colvin- who inexplicably was there to pick, but my first two picks were WRs)

3b. Niklas (Needed a TE, passed on Landry again, Jeffcoat, Boyd because we need to fill TE)

    4. Ka'Deem Carey- Figured it was worth a shot at this point to take a RB

    5. Kenny Ladler- Couldn't just focus completely on offense, and passed on picking one of a few QBs still there (Goroppollo, Murray, Fales)

Would like to hear what others draft and who they passed on.

Thanks for the link. I'm sure myself, and many others, will have a lot of fun with this in the long run-up to the draft.

Did a very quick 7 rounder, just going for value mainly but with the Jets' needs in mind. Here's what I got:

18 TE ERIC EBRON, UNC - Passed on Lee (WR) and Amaro (TE).
    49 WR ODELL BECKHAM, LSU
69 WR JARVIS LANDRY, LSU - Surprised he was still there, so double-dipped on LSU wideouts.
    80 OLB DEE FORD, AUBURN
111 DE JACKSON JEFFCOAT, TEXAS - Tempted by Tajh Boyd, but wanted to add more juice to the pass-rush.
142 QB JIMMY GAROPPOLO, EASTERN ILLINOIS - Boyd went early round 5. Passed on Aaron Murray, who went with the next pick.
179 S TY ZIMMERMAN, KANSAS STATE
210 RB DRI ARCHER, KENT STATE

    3. Jared Abbrederis, WR Wisconsin

There was something like this last year, not sure if it was the same website. It gave you the option to trade picks too.

That thing cost me hours and hours of work time and there was a huge thread with everyone's mocks....the website even rated your draft.

Edit: Here's the link....looks like the site is back up and running for 2014

    http://www.first-pick.com/

2nd Edit: First pick doesn't have the draft order correct just yet. They have the Jets drafting in the 18th slot of every round, when that pick actually rotates.

Oh, I remember that site very well. It took over my life in the run up to the draft last year. The trades were ridiculous, and you could end up with 25 picks after repeatedly accepting generous trade-down offers, but it was really enjoyable and a great way to pass the time during the offseason.

I'll be checking it out shortly, so I'll see you in about 3 months...

Attempt 1 ... only hard choice was Ebron vs Matthews in the first. i just feel that TE is an easier position to get lucky with later on or via UDFA. double-dip with Adams, Roberson was a value + need pick, Jeffcoat a versatile guy that projects to LB for us, and Sims is a great receiver out of the backfield.

    R1 WR JORDAN MATTHEWS VANDERBILT
R2 WR DAVANTE ADAMS FRESNO STATE
    R3 CB MARCUS ROBERSON FLORIDA
    R3 DE JACKSON JEFFCOAT TEXAS
    R4 RB CHARLES SIMS WVU

Attempt 2... Evans was an obvious pick. Rd 2 came down to Benjamin vs ASJ but Benjamin's upside is too big to ignore. Rd 3 saw ASJ go just 1 pick ahead of 69, so Fuller was the BPA... Jeffcoat and Sims again in the next two rounds... Jimmy was BPA in 5.

18 WR MIKE EVANS TEXAS A&M
49 WR KELVIN BENJAMIN FLORIDA STATE
69 CB KYLE FULLER VIRGINIA TECH
    80 DE JACKSON JEFFCOAT TEXAS
    111 RB CHARLES SIMS WVU
142 QB JIMMY GAROPPOLO EASTERN ILLINOIS
