The people who aren't in Arizona probably give a ****, especially since this would be something like the 10th snowstorm this winter for us...

Does someone have a gun to your head telling you to read this thread? Is this interfering with all the new jets news coming through these days? Go stare at the grand canyon or sit on a cactus or whatever people in arizona do this time of year.

Alert all of the metro area is recieving a coating - 2 inches at best and that's pushing it. The gfs model will end up being correct over all the models which showed heavy snow. Gfs showed the clipper dying and the coastal not impacting us and the new models suggest it was correct. Sorry guys.

Ecmwf/Ggem and the regional high resolution models have been pushing for 6 inch storm here the past few days but the Gfs has said the coastal doesn't impact us and now the 00z models Rgem/Nam/Wrf are saying it was correct. Sometimes an outlier is correct but very rare.

What about the next 2 week trends in weather? The Wendesday - Thursday timeframe looks seasonal with temps in upper 30s - low 40s. Friday is unseasonably warm with temps in the mid - upper 50s no 60s as there is a snowpack. Friday we get some heavy rain half inch rain. Saturday low 40s and Sunday we are back to the cooler and deep freeze. Long range trends suggest very very cold air and a recharging of the early - mid january Polar Vortex pattern for most of late february into early march as a humungous west ridge extends into the arctic and carves out a very cold east 2/3 pattern. No end of winter anytime soon. All weather info suggests at least another 3 weeks of cold and snow after this late week mild day.

You're killing me, Cookie. I was hoping the warmer weather after tomorrow would signal the beginning of the end of this cold and snow. At least we should get some melting this week before it gets cold and snowy again. And thank you again for this analysis. C is for cookie, or is C really for "cold as ****" (that was awful...sorry).

This Rex storm is so preventable.

Have some Tight Ends line up outside and this fierce storm will turn into a light dusting.

    Love ya coach!

Bah I should have read this last night.
Weather.com is showing 'HEAVY SNOW' but I haven't seen any of it in the windows they've mentioned so far, and the hourly forecasts have pulled back their forecasts. Looks like Im going in the office today.
