OK, I am hoping you guys can indulge me a little with this. I got hurt yesterday and probably have a broken toe and a badly bruised foot and other parts so I am incapacitaated for a while, hobbling around my apt trying to stay busy. I was going through my yarn stash and lo and behold found some yarns in perfect Jets colors, and really I did not plan this. Perfect amount for a hat which I'm going to knit (after deciding on a design which comes next) but I was thinking I might buy more yarn and knit a few, maybe have one for the secret santa swap, etc. It may come as a surprise that it's not that easy to find 'green and white' just like that, at least not nice ones that I would find acceptable, eg the ones below have cashmere in them and are really soft.
So what is the acceptable range of green to be considered authentic Jets wear? The scarf from last year (pictured in my avatar) and this year's neck gaiter were a pretty dark green (speaking of which gaiters are a lot easier to make than hats - would anyone wear them?)
2, Medium Green
3. Forest I (DB Cashmerino Aran)
4. Hunter Green
5. Forest II
Is medium green too bright or could it be a 'throwback' green? Forest I is really dark, but it does have that pickle pants green tint to it doesn't it?
And believe it or not there are a million shades of white and 'white' isn't a slam dunk. Would 'off white' not bright white be acceptable?
After these burning questions are answered the next ones will be what types of hat designs are acceptable and getting some kind of Jets logo on to the hat (no patches) has to be knit in or emroidered, but if the hat style is ribbed, which will stretch that will complicate things.
I hope people don't mind me doing this too much. If it has to go to the Hangar so be it but I'm afraid to post there. And if people aren't mean to me I might show you my my sausage shaped 50 Shades of Purple foot.
(this white one is what I already have to go with the first green)

Jets should be a robust, colourful green. Jade or Medium looks good. Anything Hunter or Forest is going to be too dark, and at risk of legitimizing the absolute crap uniforms and colours our fashion-blind owner makes us wear today.
