Jets Re-Sign CB's Walls and Lankster...

Def not a thread but it could have been moved. Didnt see it mentioned, but BOTH Walls and Lankster were re-signed earlier...

Not world beater but love both for ST, and Walls looked good in spot duty...

If your a "we need a CB guy" this doesnt tickle your fancy but for me and the idea of our ST teams and D depth I am quite please...

    Up next RT Howard?

Thanks for posting- consistency at the backups helps, bc they aren't typically replaced with anything more than udfa's (who will compete with them in camp anyway).

    Solid depth guys

With Lankster and Walls re-signing and the addition of Johnny Patrick (we also have Ras-I Dowling on the practice squad), maybe this is the end of Kyle Wilson.

Darrin Walls - DB - Jets

Jets re-signed restricted free agent CB Darrin Walls.
Walls appeared in all 16 games last season, starting three at cornerback while rookie Dee Milliner was benched. In total, he played 292 defensive snaps and batted away four passes. Walls likely is coming back at the fourth-year veteran's minimum. We doubt he was tendered at the $1 million-plus level as an RFA.

Ellis Lankster - DB - Jets

Jets re-signed CB Ellis Lankster to a two-year, $1.63 million contract.
Lankster is a productive special teamer for the Jets. He racked up 13 tackles on kick and punt coverage and played just 30 defensive snaps in 2013.

Walls actually has serious potential, and Lankster is a core special teamer and very good fourth CB. Happy with these moves

Good for Lankster. The guy busts his ass out there and gives it his all. And glad to see him doing well after being made fun of for his stuttering problem.

I have always been a Lankster supporter ever since he debuted with the Jets in the pre-season a few seasons ago & Walls is a solid CB.

Both moves are solid & fairly cheap.
