Raiders as of now most active talking to Eagles about WR DeSean Jackson. Jets not that far behind .
Do they still have more cap space than us?

Believe so, but it's close after the Sanchez/Vick transactions.
We have more picks though. Adding a 6th wouldn't hurt us.

We have the extra 4th, cap space and Vick, we should pull the trigger.

Nice to see RM valuing his late round picks for the Raiders AGAIN, Matt Flynn, 6th for Schaub, now a trade for DJax....same ol Raiders.

Suprised they are in for Djax, do they know he's under 30?

Let them release him. That is going to happen. No one wants to pay that contract.

I'm glad they dealt their 6th.

If I'm Idzik & the Eagles are choosing between which teams 4th to pick, I'd put the pressure on the Raiders by offering a 4th & a 6th (since we'd still have comps).
Make the Raiders give up a 3rd or add a 5th to their 4th.

    Even after releasing Sanchez?

I think he restructures after we trade for him. He wants guaranteed money again.

The only reason he isn't restructuring now is because he doesn't want to give the Eagles that luxury when he feels unwanted.
He'd rather prefer his own situation after a release.

The Eagles could have what they want here...A bidding war.

Not really sure, it says it was updated today.

This one says we have a little more at $25.2mil.

    http://www.ganggreennation.com/2014/...ary-cap-update

"Before these moves, the team stood at roughly $23.9M. The release of Sanchez freed up $8.3M in space, and Vick cost $5M. That leaves $27.2M in cap space. Once you take out the expected cost of the rookie draft class, the New York Jets have approximately $25.2M remaining."

Things the Jets have going for them..

    MM.

    Vick.

    Extra 4th.

    East Coast.

Idzik let the 1st waive of FA pass, we are now in a healthy situation compared to most to get aggressive, I think Idzik may chase this one.

Wasn't part of the current regime. That was Hue Jackson driven.

Idzik will not pull this off. He is not aggressive enough.

I hope I am wrong as desean is a game changer.

He went to Cal and grew up in LA. What exactly does the East Coast have to do with anything?

Chase? yes. Getting into a bidding war? Doubt it. And while I want Djax, i am comforted to know that whatever we offer up in a trade and in terms of a new contract won't be too much.

You don't think DeSean can smile & be happy for a coach he likes to stay coach? He can't respond how those players responded?
Santonio was happy too. Is DeSean was than Santonio? Is that what you're telling me?

& even on the flip, just because the locker room gave that response to Rex, does that make them all holy - mature - non mistake making people?
There's no *******s in the whole locker room?
You know what every player does in the personal life
    ?
Dude you can second guess me all you want.

Bottom line is this is a young playmaking WR in his prime.....now all of a sudden his team wants to jettison him - why do you suppose that is?

I'll give you a hint - there are multiple reports - including one by John Clayton I saw just this morning, that said this is more then just about Jackson's salary, its about his attitude, coaches have a hard time with him, Jackson & Chip Kelly don't see eye to eye - sorry but that's enough for me to say pass.

We don't need a knucklehead like that causing disarray here.

The Raiders can have him, that's a great landing spot.

Do you really want the jets to get into a bidding war with the eagles? We all want Djax, but what if it would take a 2nd and a huge contract extension that makes it hard for us to give guys like Mo Wilk a contract extension next year? Idzik isn't a fan trying to win now, he is building a winning organization that will have lasting success. Getting into bidding wars with a retarded franchise like the Raiders is a recipe for disaster. The Giants let Tuck go because they refused to get into a bidding war with the Raiders. We let Howard go for the same reason. Hopefully, things work, but lets not kill Idzik for passing if the price isn't right.
