Why? I'll take not having to face a threat at QB twice a year any day of the week.

I was never a fan of Sanchez and opposed him being drafted from day 1. He benefited from an outstanding O Line in his first 2 seasons, once Damien Woody retired, and that outstanding O Line disbanded, Sanchez' lack of talent was exposed. I wish Mark luck, but I don't see him ever being a starting QB that wins much of anything.

He's worth between 15 and 20 million bucks he's won already..

Sorry but when I think of Sanchez I think of the 80 yarder to Braylon in Indy....maybe we just have a different outlook as fans

Shonn Greene had some great playoff games and fans still say he sucks. Alot of Jet fans enjoy staying negative when it comes to certain players..

    Mark's a great kid -

I'm a bit annoyed at this media portrayal that the Jets somehow let Mark down prior to that suspect decision to put him in the preseason last year.

The Jets paid this kid somewhere around 50 million dollars for mediocre QB play! The Jets did have solid teams around him, and most years he had a decent O Line and some decent skill guys. The Jets took care of him and outside of putting him back in the Giants preseason game they did right by him. Unfortunately they had to cut him after 11 days of preseason but no other team was penciling him in as their starting QB.

He's a good kid and a class act and the Jets made him rich beyond dreams and treated him well.

Ain't that the truth Sav....I can't help but think a colossal portion of our fan base utterly deserves the 40 odd years of failure to win a Super Bowl.

Staying classy, even as the Jets showed very little class in hanging on to him until the last possible second and severely limiting his other opportunities.

Thanks Marks. It's not your fault that our stupid FO gave you tons of money. Best of luck .

Nice guy, TOTAL GOOFBALL, that is not class.

Class move by Sanchez. Although he has broken my heart on numerous occasions with his bonehead picks, he also won a few playoff games in his time with the team and gave me two back to back years of Jets playoff football. It was a fun ride. I wish him the best when he reunites with Schotty, he's gonna need it!

I'd think more highly of him if he'd give back some of the money he ripped off from the organization - sorry but won't miss him at all - don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya

It's not his fault that Tanny used poor judgment in extending him when he did/at the price he did.

For a slight upgrade in talent, we cut a man of very high character, and signed a man with no character of any kind.

It would be nice if Mark Sanchez could play like Peyton Manning, because he is the kind of player you'd like to like.

But he can't, or at the least hasn't thus far.

Talent and performance talks, character walks.

Little harsh but tell me what 2 year span the jets have had was better than what Mark gave us.

When you think you have the right guy you do everything you can to help him be successful. You don't just do nothing and hope he develops by himself or in the Jets case do whatever you can to sabotage him.
Mark isn't without some blame but he was young and raw and it was the Jets responsibility to take control of the situation.

Without question Sanchez was/is a class act in a city with no class. At least we have some good memories.
    Schotty and Sparano.....smh

Good luck Mark except against the Jets

Mark was a class act all the way.

jets dumped him to sign scumbag Vick.

That's all you need to know.
