Pulverize has supplanted Explosive in describing the Raiders.

Donald Penn was f*cking horrible for the last two years in Tampa.

Menelik Watson is still a complete unknown who the Raiders have publicly said they're concerned with.

Austin Howard has never played on the interior in his career.

So basically, you're telling me that 4/5ths of the Raiders OL consists of giant question marks outside of Wisniewski.
I watched Donald penn against the Jets - the few times they put Wilkerson on him ,he blew Wilkerson off the line of scrimmage. Look at the tape. ( it doesn't lie) Now due to MRSA , you do know how many different guards line up with Penn .( more the reason his numbers weren't great)

The rams there is a very good chance take Wr Sammy Watkins- still Kevin Boothe is no slouch at lg. ( very physical run blocker)

M Watson had a recurring calf injury that bother him all year. There is no question about his ability( NFC Scout saw him play last game against Seattle at Lt and said he has a chance to be one of the top Lt in this league. He was scheduled to be the starting LT opening day despite missing all of training camp, and played in one preseason game . ( just re injured the leg in practice that week)Raiders only offering their Lt Jared Veldheer, right tackle money, tells you what?

Austin Howard has played some guard with the Baltimore Ravens- a fact.

I don't care what Defensive line you want to put against that Oline, just be prepared to get pulverized. Matt Schaub could take two naps back there, all the time he would have to throw the football. It's called domination.

Btw - maybe you should talk to Jason(jet fan) at over the cap because just because you throw bogus numbers out there enough time, means they are correct.
Yeah yeah, tell us again when you're 4-12 again.

Terrible "rebuild" by RM, the freckly dumb-ass will make sure you have egg on your face again don't you worry Raider.

The words "homer" and "hard-headed" don't even begin to describe you.

Howard was never even on their active roster.
probably in the preseason but he played guard. Ozzie Newsome like his Olineman to be versatile and they move them around.

You would think a sane person wouldnt proclaim greatness every single year when there team has been arguably the WORST FRANCHISE IN ALL OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS over the last 10+ years.

Just because he played there doesn't mean he's good at it.

Here the excerpt from article. Raiders looking at Howard to play guard, not tackle

Posted on Monday, March 24 at 10:39am | By Vic Tafur

Two of the bigger questions in free agency were did the Raiders almost sign guard Rodger Saffold to play left tackle, and what are their plans with Menelik Watson? It looked like he wasn’t going to be in the starting lineup, even after the Saffold signing fell through and Donald Penn was inked to play left tackle.
Turns out there was a twist. Oakland signed Austin Howard from the Jets to play guard and not right tackle, and general manager Reggie McKezie and coach Dennis Allen are hoping/expecting Watson starts at right tackle.

This could all change at training camp, according to team sources, but that’s the plan right now. McKenzie has added a lot of versatile offensive linemen and wants tough competition with the ability to move parts around.

Howard, known as a powerful run blocker, has played right tackle in his four years in the NFL but did work at guard in his early days with Philadelphia and Baltimore.

So, you are looing at a possible starting offensive line (left to right) of Donald Penn, Kevin Boothe, Stefen Wisniewski, Howard and Watson. Khalif Barnes could be a swing tackle who also plays guard, and Matt McCants, Tony Bergstrom and Mike Brisiel are still in the mix, as of right now.

You can question Tony Sparano the head coach or OC ,but he knows what he's doing on the Oline. He sees Austin Howard playing RG ,than obviously he knows more than me. ( very confident they will get the results they are looking there)

A lot of Former Tackles moved inside to guard and have had very successful careers. Tony Sparano is very familiar with Austin Howard, it's his decision to do that. You don't think he has a little better understanding what he's looking for on his Oline.( know what Howard capable of doing).

Honest question, have the Raiders ever made a move that you don't agree with? It seems like you can't find any fault within the organization.

While your obstinance, homerism, and ability to scour bleacherreport are admirable, your football acumen leaves much to be desired my friend. Please, try to read an article, look at statistics and make an analysis based on facts and not 40% ****ty reporting, 40% hope, and 20% bowl haircut. I don't understand why you continue to post here, are you a masochist or something? Nobody here cares AT ALL about the Raiders. You might as well be Browns9157, Bucs9157, or Rams9157. All rebuilding due to poor contracts and drafting. When it's Raiders week, come by, we'll chat about how poorly Austin Howard pulls in Power plays. In Sparano we trust.

I remember seeing Sanchez line up at WR, too.

Also in Baltimore Austin Howard played guard- so surprising again you don't know what you're talking about there.
First off, just because your O-Lineman are tall & fat doesn't mean they play well together as unit.

Size doesn't always translate to ability - particularly along the O-line.

That being said I'd put the Jets front 7 against the Raiders O-line any day of the week.

Secondly, Austin Howard never played a regular season snap with the Baltimore Ravens - he was on the Ravens practice squad - which is where the Jets signed him from and he has never played Guard at any point in his football career.

Howard did play some regular season snaps with the Eagles - the team that originally signed him as a UDFA in 2010, but he played LT while he was there. That article you posted is dead wrong, Howard has never played Guard in the NFL or in College.

Try getting your facts straight Raider before you go spouting off about what other posters don't know.
