Last month the wife and I went to Portland, Hood River and Bend to drink good beer. Tomorrow we leave for California to hit The Bruery, Firestone Walker (both Bottleworks and the primary facility) and Russian River.

    We are beer snobs.

    Suck it.

Will have to to tr said Hell or High Watermelon

Speaker of summer beers - if you haven't tried Sam Adams Porch Rocker, its excellent but only available for a limited time - so if you try it and like it, grab as much as you can, because within a span of two weeks it disappeared everywhere.

Also I will be drinking a ton of this in the summer, Leinenkugel's Lemon Berry Shandy -

Aside from the Leiney's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter, all of the Leiney's stuff is far too sweet for me.

Hope you're not planning to go to The Bruery on Saturday, they have a huge anniversary party that day and pretty sure the tasting room is closed without tix. If you're gonna be down in SD area at all, highly recommend checking out Port Brewing/Lost Abbey (same place), Rip Current and of course Stones main brewing building which has a ton of taps and an amazing "backyard" garden area.

That was actually why we came down to hit The Bruery. That anniversary party was a ****load of drinking.

No doubt. Stolen from a bar right down the street from Rex's house.

InBev owns everyone or they will. They bought Bluepoint Brewery, which makes one of my favorite IPA's - Hoptical Illusion. Still good stuff.

I bought a few different Weihenstephaners: the Dunkel, the Korbinian which looks like bock of some sort and the VITUS which is a wheet beer and one the best beers I've ever had.

We have some good beers. Craft brewing has picked up, though not as crazy as in the US. A lot of good beers in the North of France and Brittany.

I bought some De Molen to: Rasputin (), Rasputin Buffalo Trace (have no clue what the difference is), and Amarillo (IPA I think)

Woah... I wonder if Rasputin Buffalo Trace is aged in Buffalo Trace whiskey barrels? I bet it is, and I bet it's delicious!

Yep, just looked it up, Rasputin Imperial Stout aged in Buffalo Trace cask.
