whats the latest? Palantonio said Idzik is "lukewarm" on DJax, Cimini said the Jets have interest its unclear how much.

sounds to me like Woody wants DJax, Idzik does not, and the rest of the squad is a question mark...?

You've got to at least "kick the tires" on a guy like this. He's a game breaker, which we don't currently have on the roster.

Woody wants DeSean, Idzik doesn't. It'll be interesting if owner overrules GM.

I will respect any decision Jets FO makes on this.

Yes we know Woody wants him but I don't think he will derail his staff if there are significant questions marks. We already have MM who coached the guy many years and his old QB Vick. If they don't vouch for him, Jets will not pursue him. And that's fine by me. Though I want to see this SOB torch Revis twice a year, I won't be disappointed if we pass on him.

I don't think he will sign until thread-part 4 is underway.

I will see Chip's ass when he doesn't deliver. Philly is a tough place to coach. Decisions like this might bite you in the ass. Defensive coaches now have a year of tape on him and Nick Foles. Things might turn sour. We shall see.

If Woody wants him then we will get him. For better or worse. Seems like the Woody picks end badly though. Favre, Tebow . . .

Especially MM. He knows what Jackson brings to the table better than anyone. I'm sure he was consulted on Vick and will be consulted on Jackson.

Not really. Nobody can be as bad as Dolan. But this is a discussion for another time. Carry on.

@Rand_Getlin: The #Chiefs, #Jets and #Raiders are all pursuing former #Eagles WR DeSean Jackson, per a league source.

You're quick on the draw here. ESPN "analysts" pontificating about the evil of gangs is truly laughable garbage. Jackson would instantly make the Jets relevant offensively. Instantly. You're worried about stupidities like whether he showed up for a practice or how he looks is frankly bizarre. If the Jets don't take him, I hope it will be because they feel they can do better elsewhere. But it should be understood that there is no a single player in the draft who can step in and do what Jackson would do for the Jets this season. He would be a tremendous addition to the offense.

You have no evidence that's really the case.

I don't get the hate for Woody. I can't remember him doing anything stupid like Irsay or being controlling like J Jones. From my experience he's done what he's thought was best for his investment and leaves his FO and coaches to the "football stuff".
