    Mayock' new rankings

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...Twitter_nfl_cb

Two surprises for me: Dennard ranked as #1 CB while Gilbert is #3; and OBJ tied with Landry as the #5 WR.

Landry is highly underrated because his poor showing at combine while he was not 100%. He has the softest hands of the bunch.

Mayock is jumping on the hype machine. He usually doesn't do that. Guess he is getting old.

I don't always agree with Mayock but I see eye to eye with him on both of those rankings. Big pro day coming up on the 9th for LSU.

He's staying solid on Marquise Lee as the #3 wideout - that's my guy at 18, unless Anthony Barr falls.

I think Barrs stock is beginning to rise again.... That is an unlikely scenario

Would anyone be surprised if jordan matthews was a 3rd round pick?

I would. I just don't see why he is talked about as a 2nd or now 3rd rounder.

Size, production, SEC, work ethic, he has it all.

I think they go Marquise Lee also. 2nd round I see an OT need- probably that Moses guy from Virginia---he could be a swing guy for a rookie and then spell LT or RT in future.

Then in 3rd round we gotta do a FS. Rex likes the guy below......Terr. Brooks. of course we need a CB..... but Idzik might look for a trade/ pick up deal.

......Florida State's Terrence Brooks ran a 4.42 40-yard dash, fastest of all safeties at last month's NFL Combine

I like him as a player, and am not speaking to his talent or production at all, im just saying when you look at the numbers, he could easily fall out of the top 50 just based on the talent in this draft, especially at WR.

I think its just gonna be hard from a numbers standpoint to have 6 WRs in the first round.

I still hold out hope for Sammy Watkins to slide to the Vikings pick & us working out a trade to get him, but if we stand pat at 18 I really believe Marqise Lee is our guy.

Was a top 5 prospect this time last year & is a very good character guy.
Underrated, high reward type of Idzik player if you ask me.

He had Brandin Cooks at #3 after the combine.

Clearly he has come back to earth and isn't letting the combine totally cloud his judgement.

Considering how they had near identical stats playing in the same division I can see how Mayock had them rated relatively close. I was just unaware that he ever had Cooks rated higher.

And now that he finally came back to earth and is back too his senses, he rates Manziel #1.

I don't know how anyone can even listen to Mayock after he was such a disaster in last year draft

He might of said that at the heat of the moment. But I check his rankings weekly online and Cooks was never ahead of Lee.
