meh. slot receiver that won't be the starter next to Decker.

so in the slot we got Kerley, Saunders, Ford.

2 tds in sugar bowl vs Alabama. Big game guy. Small wr like Golden Tatte. Idzik got it right.

    Idzik is nailing this draft!!!!

  5. #5
Kerley's backup, but then again Kerley's always injured so maybe his long term replacement. Are there any decent WRs over 5'11 left?

  6. #6
Saunders come be one of the steals at wr. Oklahoma had no qb after Landy Jones left. They had Knight step up the last game and Jalen had his best game of the year. Fast with good hands and route running.

Trust me, I have a good eye for talent. I love this kid. He is gona be a good one. He was the best player on offense for Oklahoma this year. Oklahoma has produced Stills another top underrated wr last year for Saints.

From Tony Pauline (had him as 5th rounder)

    Jalen Saunders
    School: Oklahoma
    Position: WR

Positive: Three-year starter who began his college career at Fresno State. Totals last season included 61 receptions, 729 yards, and 8 TDs. Also averaged 15.4 yards on 20 punt returns with two more scores. Junior totals included 62 receptions, 829 yards, and 3 TDs with a 17.6-yard average on punt returns. Posted a career-best 1065 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns at Fresno state in 2011 when he caught passes from Derek Carr. Quick, explosive receiver best in the slot and return game. Fluid releasing off the line, has a quick burst, and comes back to the ball out of breaks. Run sharp routes, stays low on exit then extends his hands and snatches the pass away from his frame. Quickly transitions to running after the catch, elusive, and shows the ability to create yardage when the ball's in his hands. Has a smooth, fluid style and effortlessly makes the over-the-shoulder reception downfield. Adjusts to errant throws, displays outstanding eye-hand coordination and possesses soft hands. Gives effort blocking downfield.

Negative: Has a small build and struggles in battles. Not a true deep threat and lacks the second gear.

Analysis: Saunders was consistent throughout his college career though his productivity did struggle the past two seasons because of poor quarterback play at Oklahoma. He offers the necessary skills to line up as a third receiver/return specialist at the next level and should make an impact as a rookie.

I am destroyed right now that we didn't go with Abrrederis. I for one thought we might pick Jared in the second round. To see him there for the taking in the fourth and yet they didn't go and get the iceman. I don't know what to think anymore. Who is Jalem Sandres?

Another f-ing reach. This WR could have been had at the end of round 4 or in round 5.. Just like the corner that we got in round 3 that could have had 2-3 rounds later.

    Reach city.

    Jalen saunders great pick

Sooner fan and I've watched Jalen Saunders since he arrived from from Fresno State as a transfer. Two TD's vs Alabama in the Sugar Bowl whern Trevor Knight replaced Blake Bell at QB. Caught game winning TD vs Oklahoma State in Bedlam. One of the best return men in college last year. Immediately starts as the Jets return man. Never played with Landry Jones and his QB was Blake Bell who couldn't pass or his stats would have been out of sight.

Catching game winning TD in Bedlam:

Now go get OU's Gabe Ikard who plays all three interior line positions.

This organization must still be high on Stephen Hill. That is the only reason this continuous passing on big WR makes any sense. F**king sucks.
