    -------------------------------------------

    Questionable positions/analysis:

QB - Have to assume Geno starts over Vick. Real question comes down to Boyd vs Simms. Will be fun to watch either way.

WR - Lots of players, not a lot of spots. Will Hill or Ford make the roster? Which of the rookies? All of them? Who wins out for the higher spots? Does Nelson lose his spot? Will we ever see Clyde Gates again? We'll really have to see how the rookies play first. Could also see us going in with 5 or 6 WR when all is said and done.

RB - I'm assuming Ivory will be the starter for now. With CJ2K in the mix, will Goodson be cut to make room for someone else? I think so.

TE - Does Amaro get the clear start over Cumberland? Does Sudfeld make the team?

LB - Will be an interesting battle to make the team at ILB - not sure we keep both Bellore and George. I don't know enough about Enempali or Reilly to say if they'll make the roster or not over the current guys - again, we'll have to see. Anyone have any insight here? Is there a pass rushing OLB on this roster?

CB - Same as WR - lots of players, not a lot of proven potential and not a lot of spots. How many CBs do we take into the season? Who gets the number two spot across from Milliner? The last spot or two (or three) is going to be a battle…really not sure here. Could really go either way here, not sure at all.

S - Same situation as LB - do Bush and Jarrett both make the team? I have Jarrett not making it just to make room for another CB - again, not sure at this point.

KR/PR - Saunders will at least take over for punts, not so sure about KR.

*Schlauderaff also plays as a backup guard.

*8 players make the practice squad. Not gonna touch that for now.

Overall I think we're in great shape heading into the preseason. Solid starters, depth and competition at pretty much every position. As of now 42 cuts are going to be made (34 if you don't count PS). We'll have to see who wins out and if any other moves are made between now and August.

This draft seems to indicate that the CS isnt going to be fired next year

Allen wouldn't take all the reps at FS would he? We need more depth there.

I think Jarrett will ultimately make the team, just not sure whose spot he will take. Maybe a CB?

Don't know if he has the speed. Allen can book.

What I see from your preliminary roster (thank you, by the way) is that the Jets have the most talented roster this year that they've had in a long time.

Hopefully that translates onto the field.

They weren't....only delusional posters here thought they had a chance...

Rex will see at least 2 years of his contract extension(well 1 because his current contract ends this season)

If Rex's coaching skills ever match his personality and ambition that would be amazing.
